|Never Forgotten©2011-2015||RE: Giles Day|
Thank you for your offer. I'm working on a friends genealogy, and only by reading Giles' son Charles Day's Findagrave bio, did I know that I was on the right track. The only card I would be interested in is Giles. Is this something you could post to his Findagrave page? (Temporarily?)
Thank you so very much.

Sorry I couldn't get a closer, clearer photo, but her niche is on a wall that is about 20 feet tall and my camera couldn't capture a better photo. Chris

Just thought you may want to know that the Monroes aren't in the Monroe plot, they are in the Griffith Plot. I'll be posting the photos shortly.

I always like to have a sense of "where" as well the headstone. It's a very well-maintained cemetery. I'm glad you sent me a message because I needed the reminder!! LOL! I'll call the office and tell you what they say.

I went to the cemetery today and the office was closed, with no hours posted. I looked for the grave for a while but soon realized it was a hopeless task without any information as to the grave's location. I will try again. Meanwhile, I will upload some photos of the cemetery to the cemetery page.

Thank you for the information you sent regarding Pearl L Fisher Sloan. I have added the information to her memorial. I also have requested an edit on Richard L Sloan's memorial (# 24742608) to add a link to Pearl and Raymond Sloan as his parents. Thank you for your contributions to Find A Grave. |Adk_Gen||RE: Lurancy Green|
Sorry, that is census records 1820 and 1830 had only the family of Abial Green in Jay, New York. In 1840 a Liberty Greene appears. He may or may not be a son of Abial. There are a number of Green progeny in this area through the years.

|Adk_Gen||RE: Lurancy Green|
I do not have a lot of information on the Green family of Jay, New York. Birth records in this area were not kept as public record until the late 1800s. The primary sources are church records and family bibles. The only Green in Jay during the census records 1820 and 1840 is Abial Green and his family. Only the head of family's name is listed, so I don't know if this includes Lurancy. There is a good chance that this is her family. In subsequent records, I find Abial's birthplace listed as New Hampshire and Massachusetts; records listing Massachusetts predominate. His wife's name was Abigail; I do not have a surname for her.

|Steve Burton||RE: Photo request for Lillian Ross|
When I first discovered the problem, people had been waiting for a photo for over 18 months. I decided I needed to do something and was fortunate to find a willing person at the Genealogical Society, who could meet these needs.

I am a volunteer like you. The owner of this cemetery promises to call the police on any Find A Grave volunteer.
You can always request again, but I promise you that the photo(s) you seek can be easily and quickly and reliably procured another way.
There has been great success with the San Luis Obispo County Genealogical Society. They completed exhaustive photographing of headstones at San Luis Cemetery in the past 5 years, and they will share them with you FOR FREE.
You can email a request for a photo of the headstone(s) you are looking for, by doing the following, and they will respond promptly:
Address your email to
Put in the subject line
San Luis Cemetery Headstone photo
Give them the name and birth and death dates, or as much as you know.
Ask them to send a picture of the headstone, and tell them how you are related or what your interest is in this person.
They will appreciate that. This information may only be used in genealogical research.
They will email you within a day or two with an attached photo(s), if it exists.
I will ask that your request be removed (so others aren’t discouraged), now that you have a very reliable and quick way to achieve your goal. If there is any problem, please let me know.

Is there something you were hoping to find out from it or just wanted to see the marker? I can see if I can find an obituary from our local paper if you are looking for more personal information?

You have posted a grave marker photo to memorial # 75598954 for Vera Pulec.
Would it be possible to post that same photo to my earlier memorial # 23866705? the 75.... is a duplicate to mine.

Actually, I shot those back on January 10, 2009. You inspired me to upload them.
I wasn't sure that the GPS receiver was respectful, but these were the only pictures I had. I remember having to get the snow brush from my car to clear these off. Because the marker is flush to the ground it took some investigation to find it under the snow.
Luckily it's nice and sunny here today.
