Leaving Find A Grave
I had no idea that Find A Grave sold to a "for profit" site. I'm sad to hear that. Thank you for all the wonderful things you have done, and the many people you helped.
Sorry to see you go.

Thank you, and replacement memorial for Thomas Oplanski
Gwyn,

I am sorry that you are no longer involved with Find A Grave, and that your memorials are being deleted, whether by you or by the site. Your contributions to Find A Grave are much appreciated! Their loss will impact many families who would benefit from access to them. I am also sorry that other members have not treated you respectfully. We all try to do our best, whether others realize it or not. One of the reasons that I enjoy maintaining the memorials of family members, is because I like being able to correct my own mistakes, and refine the bios as I get more or better information. Since you have said that your memorials are being deleted, and that you don't mind people using your photographs, I have added my own memorial for Thomas Oplanski at Liberty Cemetery in Minersville PA. It was important to me to give you credit for the original memorial and for the grave stone photograph, which I did. I hope that you don't mind. Thank you again for making the trip to a difficult to reach cemetery and taking the photograph so that we would be able to see his grave. I wish you all the best, health-wise, and genealogy-wise. -Janet

Taking down memorials & photos
I have heard you are taking down all your memorials and photos. I don't know if you manage any of my relatives or not, but I would very sad to see the grave photos go down the tubes because I have not down loaded to my own computer and they are so valuable to me. You should somehow let people know what you are doing so they can save their relatives' info. I understand your feelings; I was upset when I learned about Ancestry's purchase as well, but then I remember that I was doing this not just for me, but for the nice people in the genealogy community. This is why I do photo requests as well. Diane Gravlee

Picture of tombstone
Hi Gwyn,
May I use your picture of the tombstone for Michelo Fanzo, Find A Grave Memorial# 86010481, located at Saint Michaels Cemetery in Bethlehem, PA? I would be using it only for genealogy purposes and can't get to PA to take the picture since I live in Austin.
Can't wait to hear from you! And thanks so much for all the pics you have taken. I am trying to pay it forward also by taken tombstone pictures whenever I am in a cemetery. I enjoy the thrill of the hunt!
Take care,
Trisha

Thank you! Thomas Oplanski grave stone photo
Hi, Gwyn
I want to thank you for taking the picture of the grave stone for Thomas Oplanski (Memorial# 111231019) at Liberty Cemetery. I have been unable to locate information on his military service despite knowing he served in WWI and having photos of him in his uniform, so it was wonderful to see that his stone had that information!! THANK YOU!! I had also read that Liberty cemetery was difficult to navigate, so thank you for making the effort. We really appreciate it!
All the best,
Janet

Benjamin Hagenbuch and Lydia Walter were married by Rev. Joshua Yeager, pastor of Frieden's church in Upper Saucon Twp. They were married in the church year 1846-1847 (which is Trinity Sunday to Trinity Sunday). From The Memoirs of Rev. Joshua Yeager.
Lydia was the daughter of David Walter and his wife Margaret, and was baptized at St. Paul's Blue Church in Upper Saucon Twp: Born May 3, 1817 and baptized July 13. Sponsors: Durs Rudy and Catherine Hendricks . ( I am not sure how these sponsors relate to the parents, but Durs Rudy was a famous fractur artist of that time).

The photo you posted on this memorial has different middle initial and both dates don't match. Think you posted to wrong memorial.

Anna Bleam
I think you added the wrong picture for Anna Bleam for Union/West End Cemetery. You added the right picture for her husband, Jacob. I think the picture you added was for their daughter.

Last Name is First Name
Hi,
We're working on translating the non-English stones in St. Michael's Cemetery in Bethlehem and think that in some Eastern European immigrant cases the first and last names are reversed. Would you mind switching the first and last names for:

Alih Janos -- should be Janos Alih

and

Szvetecz Janos -- should be Janos Szvetecz

Thanks,
Rosemary Buffington

Thanks for adding the Trexler tombstone photos. I am searching for the tombstone of John Trexler Warren d. 1987 and believe that he is in the Trexler family plot at Fairview Cemetery or elsewhere in the cemetery. Please look for him if you go back to photograph more tombstones. Thanks.

Stover Memorials
Hello.. I contacted you with some additions & questions regarding several Stover memorials that you created & photographed at the Union-West End Cemetery in Allentown, Lehigh, PA and when I went back to view them, they have all been deleted and are no longer listed.. I was hoping you could shed some light on this for me??.. It's very strange that almost the entire family is said to no longer exist and the only remaining family members left at the cemetery are Clarence & Stout.. while Alvin, Asher, Ellen, Mary E. & several others are now non existant???

Sincerely,
Sandi L.

Josepha Furler
Sorry this is late...I'm going through my emails and don't believe I thanked you for letting me know Josepha is buried at a different cemetery. I appreciate the information! Not sure if her obit was incorrect or if she was moved later to be next to her husband. Either way I'm glad to know where she is buried. Thank you, again!
Lori
