Wow! Just want to comment on the research you did, listing all the other crew members of the downed Lancaster. Thank you.
Are you familiar with the 'Aircrew Remembered' site? It's a site that is researching and listing all aircrew losses from all wars. I was checking to see if this flight was recorded and it wasn't. You might want to send them your research.
It lists all reported losses by date.

Hello Margaret Rose
Thank you so very much for advising me that your friend has taken a photo of my Uncle Norman Johnston's grave in St. Desir War Cemetery, Caen, Calvados, France. I visited his grave in 1979 but did not have a good camera so the pictures were not very good. Yes, I would appreciate it if you would have the photo added to Norman Johnston's area of Find A Grave.com.

Thank you so much Margaret for posting the picture of Robert's marker. I've been doing family history research and that branch of the family has been elusive, as they spent much of their time in Canada and Maine. I knew he had been killed in the war, but it was a shock when I was able to find where he was buried and then to get a photo also. Thank you again. I hope to maybe get a bit more involved in this website thanks to seeing what people like yourself are doing for others.

My name is Anne Cunningham.I seen this site and I would like to inform you that I grew up in Scotland right next to Dumbarton Cemetary.I was always curious about the Canadian Airmen buried there as my father was present at their burial and I always felt it was so sad for their families.Wee a few years ago I took some photos .I sent the info to the Canadian digital memorial but maybe some older people don't have comps.I have the photos if someone could use them .I was sp glad to see a photo of the young man I grew up playing by his graveside and I often feel I have a very close relationship with these young men almost like I knew them

Dear Margaret we are extremely grateful to you and your friend for the 'close-up' of John's gravestone and that lovely touch with the rose, really most kind and thoughtful of your friend for doing that, so very much appreciated, once again we thank you.
Kindest regards Eleanor.

Please feel feel to add a virtual flower for this brave man! And ask your findagrave friends to do the same.
It reminds a little bit of Oskar Schindler.

Hello again Margaret Rose I was just about to reply to your extremely fast reply to my photo request to say thank-you to you for sending the photo and to Kjersti Meyer for taking it, please don't apologise for anything I am so delighted with this result and anything else will be an added bonus sadly we don't have a lot of information on John and when his father passed away we do not know of any photos in existance,...but the search goes on. Sadly all of Johns 'direct' family are all deceased but we hope to get more on them all as soon as possible, should I be so lucky to get a photo of John I will let you know, I am going to try the RAF to see if they can help. Kind regards Eleanor.

Dear Margaret Rose- Words can't describe the ultimate happiness you have given to our family. My daughter Desiree was doing a search for my dads brother who had past away in action, his headstone is in Moro River Canadian Cemetery , Italy. Christmas came early for us as she found the grave marker for uncle. No person from our family has gotten the opportunity to see his grave marker. My dad is turning 85 this year on Dec 7, so we are going to make him a shadow box with the pictures you posted and other keepsakes. My uncles name is listed below.
Kwiatkowski, Private Edward Phillip
H/8144 Royal Canadian Regiment 26
Son of James K and Annie Kwiatkowski of Garson Manitoba Canada
Grave Ref. 1.H.9
Thank you so very much for allowing us access to honour our uncle.
Yours very truly,
Peace be with you and your family

Margaret, I noticed that you photographed a monument in Medway Cemetery, which is where I was referred when I searched for Decker Cemetery in Middlesex County, Ontario, for a family monument for Alexander Robb and his wife Joanna Attwood. I was wondering if you could tell me if the cemetery changed names or if it is merely an error. I didn't find the monument although I found a description on Ancestry.com that it was cut in half by a harrow, so it probably exists. Could you possibly try to find it and photograph it for me? Thanks in advance. Bonnie
