Would you be so kind and remove the above memorial form the Caudle-Phifer Cemetery. He is not buried there. This cemetery is located off of the Deep Springs Church Rd., Peachland, NC on the Old Plank Road. The cemetery that Mr. Edwards is buried in is the Caudle Family Cemetery which is located at 2212 Hwy#218 Polkton, NC at the old family homeplace. His obit has the incorrect town it should be Polkton instead of Peachland. The Caudle-Phifer cemetery is my late husband's family. Thanking you in advance.

RE: William Chapman
Thank you for the information. On the Ruth Chapman memorial it is listed that she had 12 children. We only have 9. Do you have information on them.
Thanks ILC

William Chapman
Ms. Allmon if you know for a fact that William Chapman is buried at Brushy Mtn. NC, can you not create a memorial? That is what I did with Ruth Barnes Chapman on your information. Just a question.

I do look at the messages that you place on my wall. As a matter of fact I read them several times. I was hoping you had Find A Grave# for all of the connections you sent. I spent several hours trying to find the Brushy Mountain Cemetery. I know this information is very familiar to you but not to me.
Also I am trying to find information Catherine Thomas. I did not put the information on her site. It must have been on the site when I started work. Yes, it does appear to be wrong according to the death date. Thank you for all the help you give me just show a little patience. Mazie Davenport Gray

RE: Ruthie Barnes Chapman
Do you have the # for William Washington Chapman? Also where are Ruthie Chapman's Parents buried. If you do not have this information, I will just write it into the Bio. I thank you for getting in touch with me. I have very little info on the Chapman's. I had great respect for Roy & Ruth Chapman. I enjoyed talking to them when they visited at Ivy Log.

RE: Hall Twins at Westview
I photographed the space. Maybe then someone will come along and make a marker. If you don't want that photo, I can remove it. In their lot was a Jacques Smith. Any relation?

RE: Hall Twins at Westview
I know what you mean. I am always disappointed when I come across ancestors/family in unmarked graves. I have started making them as I go, but it's an expensive proposition. Perhaps you could inquire with the office about making one (if it's in your budget). One thing I did was send out a group email to all my relatives about fixing one broken marker and did get contributions. On that one, I received $500.00 which helps. I bet you have some generous relatives that would be glad to donate.

In the mean time, find out who is on either side and I can take a picture of the space.

Sometimes just having a photo of the space may inspire someone to come forward and help you mark the grave.

Hall Twins at Westview

Can you find out who is on either side of the Halls and if they have markers or monuments? That would help me look to see if the Hall Twins truely don't have markers. Thanks.

More Clydes at Westview
In the same section/lot I also found:

Charles E. Clyde 4/23/1894-1/26/1967
Eula Mae Clyde 9/5/1903-5/18/1921

Can you please make memorial pages for them and send separate photo requests so I can upload photos. Thanks.

RE: Westview photo requests
Will work on it. I won't be able to check the twins if they don't have markers because the sections are so huge and the lot numbering system makes no sense. So it's not like I could find the lot unless I knew who was on either side of them.

If it's important (and I can understand that it might be), you might find out who is on either side. That would at least give me something to go by.

Westview photo requests

I would like to help you find your photo request at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.

Westview is massive the largest cemetery in the whole Southeast. Would you please help me by calling the cemetery office at 404-755-6611 to find out whether the grave is marked with a monument or marker or both AND what the section and lot numbers are.

Then I will gladly look.

The office is reluctant to give out that information to non-relatives.

RE: Nathan Arnett Allmon
I can't remember if I responded back to you or not, so....I'll answer for sure this time. Nathan's father was Nathan Arnett Allmon Sr. (born 1803 in Kentucky, died Oct. 20, 1876 in Waynesville, Illinois). His wife was Cynthia Barr (1809-1849). I have an account on and found this little artcle interesting. I thought you might too.
"March 7, 1849, was a tragic day, indeed, for the family of Cyntha Barr Allmon. On that day, she gave birth to twins, resulting not only in the death of the babies but also Cynthia herself. This information was told to me by my father, Morris E. Duvall. It came to him from his grandfather, John Morris Allmon, who was Cynthia's son. Sadly, a fourth death was added to this story with the passing the following day of Cynthia's father, John Barr, owing to shock and grief at the loss of his daughter and grandchildren. I stood in Union Cemetery more than a hundred years later, and was overwhelmed to think of the entire clan having stood in that same place to mourn the losses that day in their family."

Thank you very much for the information. I don't like to print info without proof. I do not have control over Margaret's memorial. Mr. Leaton Clark maintains that memorial. I will check on the lady who supplied info and let you know. She also sent me the obit for Mr. Little. The same one you have on his memorial. Thanks again

I have added two children to Lewis's Memorial. I received the information from Amaryllis Little Burns. I wanted to double check my information. Eliza Adeline Little - no dates and Martha Elizabeth Little, twin sister to Margaret born 4-19-1848. Do you have any information to back this up? Thanks Mazie Gray, Ivy Log Cemetery Committee

I'm sending in an edit to link Bessie Marie Blurton to her parents. Do you happen to remember is she is buried next to Orville Bruce Blurton? I'm going to order the cemetery book to see if his parents are listed. I find no other record. I have a 1910 census with an Arvil, image says Orville 3 months of age with no other record showing up.

I have been going thru clippings my grandmother had kept and who passed herself nearly 15 years ago. Among the items was Mrs. Barlow's memorial card which I could add to her Find a Grave site if you like. This shows her services being at Given's Chapel where my grandfather, Verle Clifton ministered and my mother Lois Smith Clifton attended as a child/youth. My mother remembered your relative quite well as she lived in the area of the church. I will await your direction - having listed more complete birth/death dates from this memorial on this site.
