You really do go the extra mile! Thank you. I had no death dates or locations for the other Hoisingtons, so this is great. Thanks again.

Yeah, I didn't have anything with me to clean the stone, but took the photo anyways. I'll swing by there again some day with water and brush.

|RIfinder||RE: Willis family|
Hi, you may want to check "Middlesex County, MA: Probate File Papers, 1648-1871" on the American Ancestors web site. It is free, and contains the probate case files of Silas Willis, his wife and many others of that family and related families such as Lincoln and Haynes. Also check the Sudbury Archives web site.

Thank you for posting the photos of Stanley, Richard, and Charlotte Briggs. Would you happen to have a photo of Florence Bellavancedau Briggs? She was Stanley D Briggs' wife. I am not sure if she was buried there or not.

I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for the transcriptions you have been doing and for visiting my friend Morgan's memorial. I appreciate it. He left us too soon.

|Geneen||RE: Stanley William Whipple|
Thank you! Stanley's mother is my great-aunt. While I had heard of his death I appreciate your reaching out. What a blessing he stayed through one last Thanksgiving with the family. I need to get back to Gales Ferry Cemetery some time to clean some of the family stones and replace photos. Best wishes!

It's on one of the main routes that I travel once a week or so, and not all that far from home. So the only troubles were the briars surrounding the place :)

That may well be a person I had listed as 'Franie' based on a record that was likely a typo ( http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/53315877/person/26111454747 )
I would like to use these photos on my tree there, if that is OK.

|Christina-Marie Hedges||Melrose Family|
I was wondering if I could have the memorials of the following people transferred to me?
George Melrose 135824836
Ellen Wood Melrose 135824844
Murdock W. Melrose 135824857
Walter S. Melrose 135824849
Mabel G. Fedor 135824880
The Walter M Kane on the stone is Mabel's child with a Peter Kane
George and Ellen are my GG Grandparents. Their daughter Christina married Peter Bernard Carron and is my line. Thank you very much for the consideration!

|Shirley Gerkin||RE: Re:Josephine Gerstle Darling|
On a trip to Washington D.C., I went to the National Archives to see the Civil War pension records of two of Josephine Gerstle Darling's brothers. When Josephine's oldest brother John Joseph Gerstle, Jr. applied for a Civil War pension, he was asked to submit proof of age. The births of the 4 oldest Gerstle children in this family were never recorded in any government birth records or church baptisms, but he submitted 2 family bibles records, one in German and one in English. I was able to get a copy of a letter from a Justice of the Peace who had examined these bible records and submitted the information to the Bureau of Pensions listing all of the records that were listed in the bibles. They list Josephine's birth date as 24 Jul 1840. These records also gave me the name and dates of birth and death of another sister, who had died young, and that I had never heard of before, as well as a marriage date of the parents, so I was lucky to have found this letter. I wish I knew what had happened to these two family bibles, as they would be a great treasure to have.

|Lucia Feller||Barbara Louise French Bartlett|
Please accept my very belated thanks for the picture of my mother's headstone. Only two of the names on the marker are buried there, i.e., my mother and my grandmother, Josephine Smith Bartlett. Norman was cremaated, Orris died as a baby in Ohio, and my father, George Bartlett is buried in Silver Spring, MD. I have a very crazy family! Thanks again for your willingness to take pictures!
