Yes thanks. I just couldn't tell from the photo the setting around them.

hey I have a question. As I live in GA and not near Upper Lake ;-) Are they in a vault of some kind in a building? Was there a name to it or some how to identify where they are at in the cemetery? Are they next to each other? I'm not sure of the layout. I hope this is as clear as mudd. Maybe I can get to visit my great uncle some day but for now this is all I get. Thank you for taking the pictures for me.

You are very welcome. Let me know if you have any problems receiving photos that you request; and I will then look into what the issue might be.

I am a Find A Grave volunteer like you are. I am doing this to save you time and disappointment.
Sadly, there is absolutely NO cooperation from the San Luis Cemetery with Find A Grave volunteers. I was threatened with the police by the owner of the SL Cemetery, just talking to him over the phone. No volunteers have claimed a request in over 18 months. However, there has been great success with the San Luis Obispo County Genealogical Society. You can request a photo of the grave stone(s) for whom you are looking by doing the following; and they will respond promptly:
Address your email to
Put in the subject line
San Luis Cemetery Headstone photo
Give them the name and birth and death dates, or as much as you know. Ask them to send a picture of the headstone, and tell them how you are related or what your interest is in this person. They will appreciate that. This information may only be used in genealogical research. They will respond to you within a day or two.
I have checked the data base for you and found that those you are seeking DO have headstones.
They will send you the photo as an attachment to email. They took photos of the thousands of headstones they indexed in 2009 and 2010. They photographed virtually all headstones that could be deciphered. Everyone, who was buried there before 2009-2010, and who has a headstone, has a picture of their headstone in the database of the Genealogical Society. The society will respond to individuals, but prefers not to send pictures in bulk to Find A Grave volunteers. They also have not made an agreement to download their data to the Find A Grave servers.
I will ask that the request be removed, now that you have a very reliable and quick way to achieve your goal. If there is any problem, please let me know.
As a reference here is the website for the index. I have checked the index myself and found that a headstone exists for this person.

Hi, I found her memorial and uploaded the photo to it, too. You manage William's so you should be able to add the link to her memorial. If not, let Ron know, he's very good about updating things.

You're very welcome! I looked to see if there was a memorial for his wife, Edna Ann, as it was a double crypt but couldn't find one. If you would like to set one up, I'd be happy to upload the photo to it.

I made the links to his parents, and transferred him to you, since I am unrelated.

Your welcome. I've been looking for him for awhile now. I just happened to spot him as I was looking for someone else today, so what a great day!

This large cemetery is divided up into several sections/gardens. Do you know which one he is buried in?

Thank you for adding a photograph of Bill Partin to his memorial. He is my son's grandfather and my first father-in-law.
