|P Welch||RE: Ann Clark Higley|
Sorry, I shouldn't have been so brief. I was referring to "Simsbury Cemetery gravestone inscriptions, Simsbury, Connecticut, 1688-2000" by Joyce Cahill.
Also, There is no Ann Higley listed in the Hale Collection of Cemetery Inscriptions. This one was done in 1934.
So if there was a stone, it hasn't been there for a long time.

I'm sorry I couldn't find their stones but this happens a lot, broken, missing or buried stones. Oakwood is also labeled a little off kilter. Where you would think the lot should be isn't always the case. Many times I have to walk all around the area to find them. Which I do on a routine basis.

|Susan Bradley||RE: Joseph Dorr Hollister|
From what I can see (I'm not related just curious) Joseph died in North Carolina and is buried there. There is a listing for a Joseph Don Hollister in the correct county in NC with dates that are the same. I am certain that since he died in NC he is buried there. Memorial #10885713. There is a current Find A Grave memorial for him tied to a Connecticut cemetery. The photo I took is showing up there. I think whoever is managing his memorial tied it to the Connecticut cemetery for some reason. He is in the records for the Albion Cemetery but I am pretty sure his name was just added to the family memorial and he is not buried there. Brother George listed on the memorial apparently moved to Michigan and is buried there. I was able to find a grave listing that I believe is his there but I did not record it. It should be easy for you to find if you have access to the census records.

Oops, I was linking the photos I took today to individuals and linked the Memorial in Albion to Joseph without knowing you had a photo request open for a gravestone in a cemetery in Connecticut. That "fulfilled" the request. :( It also looks like Joseph comes up in a search as Joseph Don Hollister in a churchyard in N. C. The dates listed from NC match pretty closely the dates listed in the cemetery record in Albion so he may actually be buried there. Joseph is listed in the cemetery records in Albion but it appears he has not been listed in the cemetery on the Find A Grave site. If you wish I will unlink the picture from your Joseph Dorr Hollister and put a "copy" Joseph in the Albion cemetery to link the picture to so you can put in another request for the right stone. I did fulfill the photo requests for his parents Benjamin and Elizabeth. The stone is very eroded but it is in the plot listed in the cemetery records and what can be read matches.

Hello, I have posted a newly-found photo of the old cemetery at Hudson, Michigan at the memorial of Randall Mills. I did not tag it as a grave photo, only other--so it apparently did not show up as a photo request taken. This is the first photo I've ever seen of the old cemetery, and he was buried on the west side (shown) so it may in fact be a photo of his stone (out there somewhere).

Hi Charles. Thank you for the words of encouragement. I had claimed 17 OPEN requests for 3 cemeteries in my area. (I plan to do more as time permits.) I only found 3 grave markers out of those 17 requests. A wee bit frustrating, but I reported what I could. As a former tax auditor, I like to include as much detail as possible in my comments. I've found that little details can make a difference. I noticed that someone already updated the plot info for Helen - I'm assuming that's based on my reported problem. Should I have anything else added? By the way, I worked with a woman at the Board of Equalization in Sacramento CA and if I remember right, her name was Helen Babcock. I think that was the mid to late 1980s and perhaps into the 1990s. I was 40-ish at the time, and I think she was in her 50s. (Just a guess.) I wondered if there was any connection to your Helen.

Hi Charles. This was my first time claiming photo requests. (I'm fairly new to Find A Grave.) I had very little luck with the requests - very frustrating. I had a friend help and we got help from staff on the grounds. So, we knew we were in the right spot. I've never updated another person's memorial. I'll give it a try and let you know when I'm done.

Sorry there's no way to read the stone. Unfortunately it's one of the most eroded stones at the cemetery.
The death certificate states the name is Stephen Hard and it states that is the name on the stone. I have sent an edit to change it a while ago, but it hasn't been done yet.

I took a picture of Stephen Hard's stone at the Collins Cemetery. Unfortunately the stone is extremely eroded you can barely make out the last name on the stone.
His death certificate states his last name is "Hard" not "Harding".

You are welcome.
For you or anyone interested in burials at the Nickleville cemetery I was there yesterday and photographed the ENTIRE cemetery. As of this date there is no stone unlisted. The only entries should be those stones for new burials and a hand full of stones that are so weathered I can't read anything or I am currently trying to decipher enough information to research who they might have been.

If I have put anyone up that you would like just let me know. We photographed the entire cemetery last weekend and I am finding so many that weren't up. I think in the past few weeks I have added about 900, and still no where near done.

TY Charles. Sometimes it will make 2 if we click twice. I am photographing there that is the only reason I noticed it while adding photos to some of the Brenners.

Nice to "meet" you. Good catch. The easy fix here was to delete the duplicate which contained the incorrect photo. Now, only Paul Noble (1772-1841) is uploaded.
Are you a relative of the Noble family? If so, I'd be happy to transfer any of them to you. Just let me know.
