RE: Thank YOU!
No problem. If you would like a transfer, just let me know the memorial #.

James Bootes--Naval Academy
I saw the addition you made to his memorial--that's great! But his headstone says his deathdate is 1916 while the certificate you posted says 1945. Think the headstone is just a typo? Any suggestions or do we just leave as is since you documented?

Peachy Pringle
Skipeth, Ann, and James Durbin
Hi Vickie,
I believe they are listed in the wrong cemetery. They are listed in the Find A Grave equivalent of this cemetery:
but they are actually buried in this cemetery:
This is maybe called Myra Cemetery on Find A Grave:
Or maybe it should be a new cemetery altogether.

I don't do cemeteries on private property, myself - but I thought that it might help to know what the problem is.

I believe Ivy and E. B. Durbin are listed in the correct cemetery and I hope to photograph them later this week, if the rain ever stops.

Hanson Grave Photo request
I fulfilled some of your photo requests for the Hanson family buried in Donaldsonville Protestant Cemetery but I wouldn't mind if you put the requests back up. My pictures were not very good. The grave stones are in very bad shape and really need a cleaning. They were almost on the ground and very dirty. I didn't go intending to take your pictures, I just happened to get them. I will be back in about a year (I don't live nearby) and will try for better pictures, but someone else may do better before then.

Robin Harris Edwards
James' at Prairieville Cemetery
Hi Vickie,
I searched the cemetery today and could not find the two markers you requested. (A James and Sarah James) I uploaded photos of Alfred and Mary Ann Elizabeth Story James. Know that there are a number of unmarked graves right in that area which is the oldest part of the cemetery. If you contact the church and ask them to tell you where they are buried, I would be happy to return and take the photos. If you go to the 'home' page here for Prairieville Cemetery, you'll find a picture of the entrance near the storage building and many trees. These graves are just inside that entrance and to the left. (I parked my car, opened the door and there was Alfred James.)

Vickie, I have taken the family grave photos of these #6689531, #6689534, #6689545, and #6689535. As in the photo, one can see the large stone stacked on top of the base. Unfortunately, it is upside down.

RE: Thank YOU!
No problem, I was looking for some of my husband's relatives today in 4 different locations and didn't find anything. I pulled up all 4 locations on find a grave before I went and had a list of 12 names and yours was the only one I found... HAHA So helping you made me at least feel like my day was productive...

Jesse does have a grave marker but unfortunately it is in very poor condition and you can not make out any inscription. I know this is his grave marker because I confirmed with the cemetery office he is burried in section 8, lot 751.

You are quite welcome. I see you have some others that are somewhat close to me... If I can get some extra time in Baton Rouge, I'll see what I can do for you. :-)

My pleasure, I am trying to document the whole cemetery but I have a hard time walking and it been so hot.
We have a problem in the cemetery we had a flood wash away quite a few grave years ago, and there are lots of unmarked graves.

Photo request for Binghampton Cemetery

This photo request came to me as being in my area but I have no idea where it is. Does anyone know what town it is in or close to?

Sarah James
Hi, Vickie!

I am trying to fulfill your request for a photo of the headstone for Sarah James. I found two that are very difficult to read. I have some questions!

The dates that you give would indicate that she died at around age 3 or 4, but I notice there is a spouse listed. Are you sure of the dates?

I found a headstone for a S. James who died on May 26th of either 1881 or 1884, and indicated that she was 80 years old. There is another of either an S. James or a J. James who died in April of 1884 but the rest is very hard to read. I can send you the pictures to see if you like.

Let me know!

You are very welcome. I put a better picture of the inscription up today. I also typed out the inscription if you can't read it on the marker.

RE: Thank YOU!
Vickie you are very welcome. I m sorry I didn't notice you had another picture. But no one claimed it so I did then I noticed it was already fulfilled . You know, I noticed there are quite a few Kennards in that cemetery. I have Alonzo in case you want to connect the family.
