Hi Jeff,
I noted you are caring for the memorials for my Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Roy Friend. I'm curious: you are obviously related through Uncle Roy's side, but how? I'm their niece, on Aunt Dorothy's side.

RE: Memorial
I think the same person who set up a memorial for someone that you are related to, set up one of my relatives. I kept requesting it from her and she kept reciting rules of find a grave. I finally went over her head and addressed a a note to Mark @ find a grave, one of the founders... Site was finally released to me. When I read messages on her wall a lot of people were upset that she wouldn't release site to them. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

I stated in my message that she was not related to this person and finally just an obit reader who wanted numbers for the most memorials. Good Luck, Linda

Did you ever get memorial of your aunt transferred to you?

RE: errors and transfers
if you contact me through the memorial page it gets done. I don't look at this page often since findagrave explains how to do things you'd be better to follow their protocol.

I saw your message on Kathy Stroope Veaseys page and just wanted to give you a heads up that I too documented that same cemetery, so please check through your family names to see if I need to do corrections/transfers. Thanks! :)

RE: Simpson/Bundy/Race
I entered in all the ones I had for Tacoma Mausoleum. A friend & I took the photo's of the mausoleum that's detached from the building w/the office. Unsure if she entered in all hers? But since she had her baby she's kinda taken a break from Findagrave. :)

Online there are "some" burials transcribed for that cemetery if you want to look them up 1st...

Added by Compotaroღ on Oct 04, 2012 5:33 PM

I was hoping the records online would mention the burial but they didn't. Hopefully the records you ordered will. :) I saw on the 1910 census Myrtle has a sister named Violet V. born in MO. Only a year younger than Myrtle. Have you located her yet? You probably have all this info I'm sending but just in case. LOL! ;)

Unsure if this is Violet but on the census records it shows she was born in MO in 1901 and has a daughter named Joan & her husband is Alvin...

RE: Myrtle L Simpson Race
lol. Maybe! Have you looked them up on the census records online to see where they were living last? Or checked the death records online for WA?

Gifford Line
Thank you for your posts. Ruth Gifford is my 2nd cousin once removed. My 2nd Great Grandpa was Jacob Compton.

Jacob & Malinda Sly Compton were parents of Eliza Jane who married Edwin Merrithew.

Eliza & Edwin were the parents of Inez Melinda who married Truman Gifford.

Inez & Truman were the parents of Ruth Gifford.

I appreciate your posts on this site which confirm my genealogy research. Thank you.

Hi Jeff. I added the information and I claimed your photo request. I have been going back and photographing the stones as I have time, which is getting limited these days! I kept a log book of the exact location of all the graves, so they are easier to find.

Best Regards,

Hi Jeff,

I'd hoped to go to the cemetery to take the pic today, however, it rained all day. Since you provided the location, I don't need to go to the office so I'll go tomorrow if it stops raining.

RE: Thanks
My Seattle Library card gets me access to the searchable Historical Seattle Times (1900 or thereabouts through about 1984). I searched for Orna there, but no luck.
