RE: Edith Graves Lewis
Thanks again. I also updated the DOB/DOD information of L. Robert Lewis (the L stands for Lima, by the way).
Cheers, Lynne

Edith Graves Lewis
Good afternoon,

I just wanted to thank you so much for undertaking the photography of the Monument Cemetery. Your photos have solved the irritating mystery of where my grand uncle (L. Robert Lewis) and his wife are buried. It also helped me track their son.

I do have one comment about Edith's birth date as noted on the site (not the stone). The 1882 date now gives me 3 options - 1878, 1880 and 1882. Having found her in the New Jersey, Births and Christenings Index, 1660-1931 as Edith Perkins (Graves), with the correct parents, I think the 1878 date is correct.

Again, thank you for your work and Happy New Year!
L. Lewis

Your Doyle Requests :)
Hello and Happy Holidays To You...

I was out to Doyle today and I photoed
Mary & Felix Alex Barkowski. The reason for my note is it's now winter..grass is kinda..yakky and they were working on the sites behind theirs and the dirt is evident. I would like to send you a copy first before I upload it to their memorials, if that would be ok. I can try to crop the outer portions and see how it looks that way too. Sometimes it works and the photos look great..I'll try. :)

Til I hear from you...
Be well..

RE: Grandparents
Thanks for transferring.

I had asked a question on how to add a "new grave"...sorry to bother you with it, I should have looked on the site before I asked. I found the answer, and actually added a few.

RE: Ida Mary James
Yes, William H. is her husband. Don't worry about the leg; I would be glad to see the photo regardless.

I am a volunteer in southern Maine... just in case you have any research interests in the area, I am happy to help.

RE: Karlotski

Don't worry about being able to spell Elizabeth's second husbands last name...if you look closely at the marker the stone mason had issues also (two different spellings).

I knew you were going to ask about Stanley...that's the reason I took the pic of the family plot. The cornerstones indicate a possible 12 grave capacity but there are only 3 markers and none for Stanley. He may be there but no marker exists.

take care,

RE: Jones@nantitcoke

The medallion is definitely fire department related…it's the only one like it that I've seen in all of the Nanticoke cemeteries.

Nanticoke Cemetery is definitely NOT one of my favorites…lots of toppled and sunken markers. The old section is a mixture of straight rows, semi-circular rows, circular rows and graves just thrown in wherever they had room…tough to keep to any type of system. The new section is straight rows for the most part but a lot of sunken and swampy areas. I've walked Nanticoke Cemetery twice previously and my find rate is probably less than 20 percent. Hopefully, I have better luck with your relatives.

take care,

Thanks for the permission. Sorry to say I don't know anyone with those surnames. Gues Wayne county is bigger than I think. :-)

RE: Leonard Sulzinski
yes, this is my father. I would be interested in taking it over, as well as a few other relatives. I am new to this, and unsure about what I need to do, and what I can do to update and expand the information.
Thanks for your work.
