You are too kind.
Thank you for your kind words.

The reason the picture of the cemetery is gone is because you can only have three pictures on the main page.
You will notice that when you click the photo tab the picture Is still there.

Any other questions let me know.
Always happy to help out.

As the manager of the Memorial Pages you can change the order of the picture.
On the Page click the photo tab.
You will see an edit sort order tab.
Click that.
You should see some arrows on the right hand side.
These should allow you to change the order.
Give that a try.
If it doesn't work give me a yell and I'll edit down the pictures.
I'll cringe but I'll do it. LOL.

RE: Maynard Orlean Walvatne #126284531
As you requested I have delegated the two pictures.
I have to admit I did so with great reluctance.
I take great pride in showing both the headstone and the surrounding area.
But,having said that, I also think it's important for the Memorial Page to look like the Page Manager wants it to.
And...having said that.....are you ok with Martha and Otto's Pages?
If not let me know.
I promise I will do anything I can to help you.

RE: Clifford Joseph Osterhus
Hi Arlys:

I didn't place a photo as I don't have one! You should be able to add it to the memorial. You may have received notice I had approved any additions to the memorial which I do daily as people can request changes by using the EDIT BUTTON.

If you have a photo available of the marker, try using the ADD PHOTO BUTTON. I hope this works as it would be nice to have the picture of the grave marker.

Have I changed the Hilgerson and Gaffney memorial to your satisfaction. The Winthrop cemetery where the Gaffney are buried is St Patricks, (not St Peters)

J. P. Gaffney: If you will not I had noted on the Winthrop Cemetery stone that he is buried at the cemetery in Marshalltown. I don't know anyother way to write it.

RE: 18298093 & 135000822
Thanks for the message. J. P. is buried at the Soldiers home cemetery in Marshalltown. The family stone was already set in Winthrop cemetery and after J. P. died his niece had his death dates put on the Winthrop cemetery also. Perhaps I should comment on the Winthrop cemetery that he is buried in Marshalltown.

I'm sorry, but I don't have any other pictures of them except for a picture of Emma and her sister, Anna, taken when they were elderly. Are you a relative?

RE: Ole John Jermeland 1875-1927
Hi Arlys,

I'm sorry if I got confused about the photo for Ole's grave. I'm going into Rugby tomorrow if the weather holds and will be more than happy to take a photo of Ole's gravestone if there is one there. Being an avid family genealogist I certainly know how much you would like to have a photo of his gravestone. Yes indeed the cemetery is named Percilla Watts.

I'll keep you posted as to what I find. Also, if there are any more look-ups or requests I can do for you up in this area, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Happy Hunting,

Ole John Jermeland 1875-1927
Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate any burial information for Ole. I visited the local mortuary and they checked the North Dakota death records database, other local mortuary databases and found no record of Ole's death in the North Dakota, period. Also, there was no Trinity Cemetery in Rolette County but I did physically visited the Trinity Cemeteries in Pierce, Towner and McHenry counties. Nothing.
Ole has sister buried in Trail County, ND but he's not there, either.
I access an old ELCA Lutheran Church register for the area and it did contain Ole's vital information except for his burial location. I believe there was an indexing/transcription as to the actual title for the pages relating to Ole's and other folks records stating register was for burial for Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Rolette County. First, there is not cemetery by that name. Second, the indexer/transcriber may have skipped a page or missed a page heading for Ole's and the folks data in this section of the register. I also looked through various on-line obituaries for Ole's family members in ND, IA and IL but did not find any info about him.
I'd highly recommend you contact The North Dakota State Historical Society as it is supposed to have obituaries which may have appeared in the Pierce County Tribune newspaper.

Leonard Claus Johan Johnson's sister is Dora Johnson Toole & am working from her biblical notes regarding Leonard's full name however he uses only Leonard Claus Johnson on his WWI form but never Curtis. Leonard's father's name: Claus Johan Johnson. Leonard is my cousin. So I have no answer for why the church records show Curtis; perhaps someone's translation of a cursive notation? I see your name as Walvatne; we have a Josie Caroline Walvatne married Leonard's brother, Elmer. Any connection? How involved are you in the church records? I have been most frustrated in obtaining any records on the Stavanger Church & Cemetery. My great grandparents are buried there: Louis & Sarah Johnson. I am interested in the names: Svenson & Rodland. I know Elling & his wife Anna Rodland are buried there; trying to learn more about their daughter, Anna (1873 IA-). I will tweak my Findagrave listing to make it more comprehensive. Hope this is of help to you; appreciate your attention to the Findagrave notations ... they are only of value when they are correct.

You are welcome, the cemetery in Festina is pretty easy to find things in, as they have a board telling where everyone is buried!

When you click on "add a photo" you can change the type of photo from grave to person. This way the portraits stay on the main Memorial Page no matter how many pictures of the grave are added.
Would that work better. That way you can add photos and still keep pictures of the grave and some of the background.
Let me know if that's OK.
I really enjoy the pictures that include the background but I will delete the top two photos if you so desire.
