|Christina||Nadine Shoemaker Arnold|
I am sorry, but the one to contact is Nadine Shoemaker Arnold. She wrote a book on the Shoemaker Family several years ago. She also bought and restored Adam's Log Cabin at the Shubel Little village here in Perry County.
You could also check with Cindy at the Tell City, Perry County Library at firstname.lastname@example.org . Their web site shows they have two Family Histories on the Shoemaker Family at http://www.tcpclibrary . They may have a copy of Nadine's work.
Good Luck on your search. ~ Blessings ~ Christina

HI. DID YOU KNOW I GOT 21 IDENTICAL EMAILS FROM YOU?? LOL--Somebody uploaded a photo of the tombstone, and I did not know it, that's why I didn't update the dates. I will. There is a note that explains the modern tombstone (2004)...

Yes you may use the photos for your DAR application and for personal use as long as they are not uploaded to any other web site.
I have a sneaking suspicion that all of the stones have mis-spelled names. I am thinking that Louis is actually Louise wife of Myran/Myron. My guess is that there were older stones and when they deteriorated they were replaced and the spellings got all messed up. No real proof of this, just a hunch.
Did you mention to the cemetery that there were photos on line? I am kinda curious to their reaction if you did. Rumor around town is that they are not fond of F.A.G.
Wheaton is actually kind of a haul from Belvidere. No real direct way to get there unless you take 90 and well that is under construction all the time. Funny you mention that you lived there. From 94-05 I lived in Carol Stream.

I have no "research" on this family. I am photo documenting graves. You might try contacting the Boone County historical society. I don't know what information they will look up for you, if any. But it is worth a try.

I posted this though never went inside. A friend of mine help build the restaurant next door, as the were building the fence around the cemetery. Many bodies and parts were moved from the surrounding area into the fenced area. Nobody knew exactly where the bodies were with very few headstones. There is history stating about 1,600 bodies donated for science were buried there after they were finished being used.
