|Sherrie Davids||RE: Hulan|
This has been very helpful. I have researched the Hulan family on/off since 2001. I cancelled my subscription to ancestry because I felt that I didnt have that much time to devote to the research. I may have to renew it. Something always brings me back to genealogy.
My mother is a Hulan. My Grandfather, William P. Hulan used to tell me stories about the olden days when i was a little girl. I guess that is where my interest started. He told me enough to make me want to learn more. When I came across Jonathan and Eliza Trexler Hulan's graves, I became VERY interested! They are my Three times Great Grandparents. I dont know if you have viewed their findagrave memorial's lately. I have been trying to link all of their children to them. They had 11 children. I have three more to go.

|Sherrie Davids||Ellen Hulan Cullum|
I created a memorial for Ellen Hulan listing the cemetery as unknown. If you would like to link Jennie Hinley to her mother, it is Find A Grave Memorial# 127574680. I also created one for Ollie Tucker Cullum and will link them. I found a death record for Margaret E Cullum Gillen's husband, Sam Gillen, but not her so I created a memorial for him.

|Sherrie Davids||RE: Frederick Hinely|
Thank you SO much for the obit on Ellen. I have done a lot of research on the Hulan family. I am thrilled to find information about Ellen Hulan Neese Cullum's line! I have been researching census records (again) since finding your memorial. I now believe Ellen had three children with Mr. Neese and twelve with Mr. Cullum. (Can you imagine having that many children?!) I am creating memorials as I find actual records for all of her children. You can check my memorials to see what I have on the Hulan's and the Cullum's. I will add more as I find records to back them all up. I am searching for Ellen and Sylvester's grave. They may be buried with her parents in the Hobb's Cemetery. The only way we will know for sure is to find a death certificate. I have been to that cemetery and took pictures of the visible markers. There were many buried there that do not have markers. I beleive they were disturbed when they build an apartment complex on the grounds. Once we have Ellen's and Sylvester's, we can link the memorials.

Jennie, I had no idea you were the same person I had been in contact with previously. You and your boys are lovely.

Hi, Jennie. May have contacted you previously. I descend from Martha Jones Prevatt (sister of Mary Jones Corbett) through her son, Clayton Jones. Do you have any information on Pleasant Prevatt? I would be related only to his children and descendants through his wife, Martha.

Dear Ms. Rybban,
I saw Mr. Prevatt on find-a-grave with you as the contributor. I was very grateful for this information, as I have been trying to find out more about Mr. Prevatt for years. A good friend of mine is his granddaughter, although she never met him. His wife, and my friend's grandmother, was Mamie Pace. Could we share information?

|Betty Atkinson||RE: Thank You|
I love it, must be like a treasure hunt... or like we felt when we bought a house that was built in 1963....we moved in in March 2010..and each week brought something new that came up that we had to identify as flower or vegetable.. It was and still is a great deal of fun. There are so many volunteers for the cemetery near us that I can never get there before someone else has done the work...but I love that so many people are doing it... Thanks for you help.

|Betty Atkinson||Thank You|
So very much for your efforts and such good results in getting this photo of Nicholas' gravestone.. It would be so very wonderful if we could find a way of tracking this family down to living descendants for the DNA project so we can see which line of Cobb families it fits with... I've some thoughts but need more concrete evidence.. Thanks again.

|Kathryn Vicory||Thomas Morris Prevatt|
Thomas Morris Prevatt is my grandfather. My mothers name was Verna Prevatt. I have been trying to work on the family tree for several years. My Aunt Carole who is also is daughter has a lot of info. My big inquiry is on Sarah Prevatt, Thomas's mother. Her life is was very short and scandalous for those days and my Aunt Carole won't tell anyone the story. I see that you have a copy of the marriage certificate for Thomas and it shows an Alten or Alter as his father. Can you supply with the information if you happen to have anything. I have always been told that Sarah had been raped. One story says it was by a man named Sam Williams and that she died at childbirth with Thomas. Another story says she didn't die, but married someone and moved up north. And a 3rd says she was raped by a relative. I know it is a sad story, but it is family history. Can you help me.

You are too kind and I do so appreciate it. It is such a pleasure and an amazement for me to realize how surely we are all connected. I treasure kind and generous people like you. I just wish I could do more with taking pictures for find-a-grave, but I have found I am not in the best physical shape for such an undertaking. I do my best, though.
Our Thanksgiving will be pretty cold, but at least the sleet and ice will have melted somewhat by then and a great number of McGowans will spend the day together. I do hope yours will be as great as ours will be.

The request didn't come with an initial, so sorry for getting son instead of father. That cemetery is partly marked and partly not. The caretaker there assures me that soon it will all be mapped. Until then, I'll make another trip and look for the father. thanks. Pat

|Dawn Byrd-Beresovoy||Hart Funeral paperwork|
Thank you so much for adding the funeral and death information on the HART family members! WONDERFUL! I wanted to ASK before I did so, but, would it be alright if those photos of the records were added to ancestry.com? I would certainly credit you with the information and the photos. Thank you for your work and for considering my request.

|Katie Mockus||Hi Jennie|
I found the page you created for John Pearl "Red" Prevatt, Jr. I noticed that it said his ashes were scattered at sea. I was actually trying to find the location of his daughter - Melissa. She passed away in 2002 shortly after I moved from Melbourne, FL to Indiana and right before my wedding. I've been back to Melbourne a few times but have never been able to find anything other than the Gazebo on BCC Melbourne campus. I was hoping to find a headstone or speak to someone, and you created her father's "find a grave" page. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks~ Katie M.

Thanks! Would love verifying him!

You are very welcome. I found it in the Levy times democrat. I was researching family members and came across that article. I remembered coming across his name on Ancestry.com. I was researching my Great Uncle Thomas Faircloth who murdered L. Britt Lewis and his wife America Smith-Lewis (a relative of the Prevatt family). So I saved it and thought that someone would like to read that story. Although gruesome. ~Beverly

|Merf||RE: Henry Harris|
If we can't find confirmation anywhere, I'm happy to adopt him and add him to my list of CSA vets at Greenwood. He will not be the first person from the early days I've found in funeral records who is not in Greenwood files. I just took special interest in him. Plus, they sometimes moved people. Not likely in this case, though.
