|Deborah Billingsley Cavalcante||Mina Katherine Walton|
Hi Bert, I've come across 2 memorials for Mina K Walton, yours #93394822 and #151846103 that says she's buried in Texas.
I wasn't sure which contributor to contact, but since you were the first and I think you actually photographed the headstone, I'm contacting you.
Thanks for all your work. Debby

Good Afternoon Mr. Higginbotham,
Thank you for all the work you have done for so many in the Smiths Grove Cemetery. I sent an edit for the above referenced memorial that you created. Eugene is a distant relative of my family, but, I was so dismayed to see the memorial headstone for the US Navy veteran. Do you have a contact in the area with the veteran's that could possibly order this man a military headstone? He certainly deserves it. I just thought that on July 4th it was very sad to see no military headstone. Thank you in advance, I am sure there is immediate family that would one day appreciate it. He is like my 4th cousin once removed but his daughter, Pamella Rasdall Wingdale, lived in Glasgow in 1996 and she was the informant on his Indiana death certificate. His great grandfather and my great great great grandmother were brother and sister. I would be so grateful Sincerely, Marsha Moon

|Kerma ||Bayless and Martha Gist|
My Great great grandmother is Martha Ann Gist a sister of Rhoda Kinslow. You are listed as the person who originated the memorial for Rhoda so I am inquiring if you have information about her parents Bayless and Martha Gist. I have information but I do not have proof of the dates. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

|Chris Forest||RE: Civil War Death|
William M Arnold (not Willis as previously thought) died during the early part of the Civil War. His wife Mary Marr Arnold and their son Asbury,died on the same day of 6 Feb 1857.
I just checked and there are 14 Marrs buried at this cemetery. Since this was not a huge city back in the 1850-60s I would venture to guess that most probably Mary and her son are buried at your cemetery as well. And perhaps even William. Obviously can not prove it, but it would make sense.
Or are there any more cemeteries in your area, where they might be buried?
Thanks for your help,

|Chris Forest||Civil War Death|
I have an unusual question that you might be able to help with
I have a Union sympathiser GG Grandfather William M Arnold who lived in the Smith Grove area in 1861. He was hung by Confederated for stealing food from their army and giving to Union army where his brother served.
He owned a 100 acre farm. Are the chances that he was buried on his farm where he was killed or in the old cemetery there?
Appreciate any help you might be able to give me. Know the Confederates occupied the city from Sept 1861 to Jan 1862. So that is probably the timing of his death.
Appreciate any insight you might have. Or knowledge of his burial in the cemetery or elsewhere.

|Sarah Graham||Berorrial Bell Lindsey.|
Mr. Higginbotham, Berorrial was my 4 great grandmother and I would like to know if you would transfer her memorial to me. Thank you for documenting her grave. My great grandmother is 97 and we had no idea where her great grandmother was buried until I got to searching and found where you had documented her. We are taking her over to the cemetery to see the grave soon. Thanks again.

|JoAnn Rowley||Susannah Henry Madison|
Bert, the information you provided for Susannah was very good, especially the explanation of the property there. What you have matches the research I've done on her - EXCEPT her husband Thomas died 1798 in Virginia rather than 1816, as in the Find A Grave link to him that you included on Susannah's page. Just FYI, the Thomas Madison who died before May 1819 in Warren County was Susannah's son Thomas. (Unsure where the 1816 date comes from.) BUT you were using information provided by National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). So I got more information about NRHP from you and plan to contact them. THANKS for publishing the info and the references.

Dad thought there should be a large Schultz stone and maybe a smaller one with his name on it to add to the memorials. I'm kinda of wanting to get these complete and then send the links to my 3 cousins. Any help would be welcome. It's a 5 hr trip for me. Dad has told me some interesting stories about helping Uncle Bob set stones.
Thanks for the work you are doing on this site.
