Samuel E. Leavell
Unfortunately, when you posted a page for Samuel E. Leavell in 2012 at 83297528, you failed to notice that a page had already been posted for him in 2010 at 55056799. I know the search engine at Find A Grave isn't always helpful, but having duplicates is confusing. Could you contact the original poster about merging your pages?

I don't believe I sent you the email re: the duplicates, I am busy working on other projects now. In any event, I have transferred what I believe are the memorials you want to you. If they are not please resubmit the transfer request through the Edit (SAC) tab.

RE: Kent headstones
You're welcome. I can get the Elizabeth, wife of James S too. I saw it but it was so missed over that you wouldn't be able to tell who it was in the picture. I was going to go back & clean it up a little.

Wheeling Township Cemetery
Thank you for the corrections you sent regarding entries in St. John Cemetery that should have been in Wheeling Township Cemetery. I'm trying to remember my trip there last year and figure out how I got them in the wrong cemetery. Are the two right next to each other?

RE: Help with old headstones?
I have an inventory done by an eagle scout in 1970 of the stones. Many are now missing and hard to read. If you give me the names I will look it up.

If you live close to AH Library, the master copy is upstairs in the family history section. he organied it by loet number with an index by name.

Their is a second one done in the 90's but the numbering of the sections is all wrong. It is also in the library

This summer I am going to try to find the stones that I do not have and take photos of them. If you have the time I could use the help

Thank you for the headstone photo you supplied. If you are certain this is located at Wheeling Township Arlington Heights Cemetery instead of St. John's I will change the location.

Sometimes is it confusing since the cemeteries are located next to each other and it's hard to distinguish where one ends and the other begins.

I added his information to St. John's Cemetery based on his obituary. In addition, his parents and many of his siblings are located at St. John's and it seemed logical he was buried there also.

Thanks for the tombstone picture for Chris Samulovitsch. I am interested in him because he was in Co. C, 26th Inf., 1st Inf. Div. I therefore, do not have an interest in the other Samulovitsch graves.

I can't believe the difference in the shots. The stone looks totally different. You must have a very nice camera. Such a difference.

Thank you so much for taking the photo for me. The original photos were not in focus. I appreciate being able to see the transcription on the stone. Thank you for being a photo volunteer!

Memory Gardens - Albert Moen
I heard back from Kathy, Mr. Moens is in Apostles Section. If you decide to go out before I do - and I'm waiting for all this snow to melt - don't forgat to claim the request a couple of days before you go out there. This helps prevent others from duplicating picture work. If you claim the request, you have 15 days to take the photo before your request expires. I've been out to Memory Gardens all summer and fall, so it's good to have others also willing to volunteer to do requests. If you need any advice, shoot me an e-mail at BTW, there's only one individual at the MG office who's a pain in the ___. I've dealt with others that have been very helpful. Still, it's better if family adds location to any request.

Memory Gardens

I've been out to MG over a dozen time this past year. Getting information as a volunteer has become increasingly difficult (especially from one person). Anyway, I'e sent the following to the requestor of the Albert Moens photo. This is just FYI...

Hi Kathy,

I don't know if you're working with Wendy to get a photo of Albert's marker, but you're almost there. The plot information is great - but you also need the Section name. Memory Gardens has many sections; so adding this will make the request complete. We do have snow on the ground right now and the forecast is for 4" to 6more today. But if the request is updated with the section name, someone will eventually get the photo taken.
