Ceci Suhre
Ruth Poett Schulte Deland
Greetings Lynn:

Many thanks for the work you do to make these burial facts available for us when we cannot do the legwork ourselves!

Regarding Ruth Poett: I believe you have misread her last name. Photo of gravestone made me wonder about that final letter - is it a "D" or an "O"? I looked her up at Ancestry.com, in the Public Records IDX, and she is indeed listed as Ruth Delano. I'd been looking for Deland for some time - making this change may help someone else, too.

Sincerely, Ceci Suhre

My email is: snyder1002@aol.com We have had computer access problems, all seems good today. Looking forward to the photo. Do you have any idea of Susan's maiden name? I am so hoping it was Crane. Kayla Snyder

RE: Susan Morris
You have the following -
Birth: Feb 26, 1822
Death: Apr 21, 1860
Barren Fork Cemetery
Flosomville
Warrick County,
Indiana, USA
Find A Grave# 46386931

Our "Susan" was born a Crane, married a Morris in 1853. I know of no known children, that doesn't mean that they didn't have any, just don't have them listed. I found a John & Susan in the 1860 census, I have no idea if they are the correct ones. That couple had three children listed, but ages didn't seem right with the marriage year. Hope you can help. Susan Morris
You have a Photo posted for a Susan Morris & her birth & death dates. Might you know if this was Susan (Crane) Morris? The photo is difficult to read, do you know what the stone reads? If she was born a Crane, I have more information on her if you would like it. I do know she married a John Morris.

RE: Bender Cemetery
Please feel free to use any of the pictures you have found ... and thanks for taking on such a task. I'm not sure what I can tell you about the cemetery, only that Sophia Bridges, sister of my husband's great grandfather Louis Franklin Bridges, married Anthony Bender Jr. I think that's the main tie-in, but I can check and get back with you. My geneo research seems to go in 'spurts' if you know what I mean (smile).

RE: oak hill cem
I'll be glad to help with old stones. I've found I can read some after I upload. So far tho, I've posted what I took pics of and figured out the names. There was one I added today at Wright off Old State Rd that only had a few letters & #'s & I took pics of it on a couple visits until I got one clear enough to read and it worked. Only had a few letters & no's left on a stone wore off on edges and on the ground. Added it to mem pg today. And it was a photo request. A gratifying feeling. Get with me on my email and we can coordinate getting pics at Spencer County this coming wk. dgs1107@gmail.com

RE: oak hill cem
Have gone to Spencer County Cemeteries lately as a new adventure: Wright (off Old State Rd) & Zion Centerville. Then Oak Hill Fri. Had grouped these together to take pics for Photo Requests. When I go to cem's I bring a list of all the mem pgs without pics. Then I take pics as I go up & down rows looking for stone for ph req. I also take pics if there is a living name on stone (& later crop them out as much as possible) - otherwise the person who d generally doesn't get their stone photographed & placed on findagrave. Oak Hill - I did the entire middle & old sections. I've not walked the sm section on Rt side yet but planned to go back and finish it. When I go back I'll have an updated list with the names I've not found stones for in 1st 2 sec's plus names that may need an additional pic added to their mem pg. I take full views of stones if there's only a close up of the engraving for ex. I may write per email also soon. Thanks.
