RE: Monk Eastman
Thank you Tony.. for some reason the general public when visiting a cemetery are more intrigued with the past lives and personalities of a gangster or an organized crime figure as opposed to some politician or general.

In the case of Monk Eastman he lived a dual life balanced by an urban setting which showed neither compassion or opportunity for it's citizens during a primitive era devoid of social progress.

My best way in describing Monk Eastman would be a quote from Norman Mailer who stated:
"There was a message sent to us from the frontier, that the outlaw is worth more than the sheriff".
