Jacob Petree Memorial

I have posted a general picture of Richmond Cemetery in response to your request for a tombstone photo. Three surveys of the cemetery have been completed in the past and none found a tombstone for Jacob Petree. I also checked the Ray County tombstone records and he was not listed.

Thank you for the research you have done on this line. Jacob Baumgartner is my 7th great grandfather. His son Friedrich is my 6th great grandfather. The information you have entered on these families have given my a great amount of facts on my family.

"George's ship sank during a storm and I am not sure his body was recovered. Do you know if this is a cenotaph or his remains are actually buried here?"

I'm sorry I do not know. There is a lady at the Bank in Blythedale who has records for the cemetery. Her husband is the caretaker for Cedar Hill. Maybe one of them would know for sure.

No Guts, No Glory
It is a great frustration for me that there is not a Find A Grave'er that can see every newspaper printed everyday to catch the ones missing...I tried to do 50 papers a day, but it got to be too much...thank you for your letter, and Delma Elmer has been moved...Have a great day!

Family Researcher
Thanks for your kind words
Louisa, thank you for your kind words. I sometimes do stumble in my requests and do my best to get back up. I was only trying maintain as many of my family memorials as I can, for I am only trying to take care of as many of my family members who have gone on. Since I just found Margaret (Townsley) Stewart and her husband it would have been nice to be able to be able to take care of them as I now do for my Uncle Frank (her father). I meant no disrespect to Margaret nor her family.

Again thank you.
