The information about the court house record of death has been added but not the cause of death as I feel it should be private. Thank you for your message.

RE: Torrisi/Fugazzotto
Hi Kathy,

I uploaded the front on Vinzenza's grave marker which has her picture as well. I also uploaded Theresa's and Simone's. In the plot I found 5 graves. Grave 1 unused, graves 2-4 the Fugazzottos, 5 unused, 6-7 Frank & Carmela, 8-9 no visible markers/stones for Nunzia or Rose. Where would you like for me to send or upload the plot picture?

Hope this has been helpful, Peyton

RE: Torrisi/Fugazzotto

no problem, I can grab a picture later today and post this evening. I will double check but there seemed to be only 5 markers/stones in that plot. Josephs, if the correct one, seems to be buried up the hill maybe 50 yds or so from their plot.

yes, it is badly moss covered but I will get it up for you today. It has a nice picture of him.

I went there this morning. Guiseppino's grave is not in the plot with parents. It appears that Frank and Carmela share a plot with Simon,Vencenza and Theresa Fugazzotto.

RE: Ruggeris and Palumbos!
Hi Kathy,

I have 2 additional photos that contain the Torrisi name. One is for Vincenza Torrisi Fugazzotto whose name I note at the bottom of Carmela's stone. I also have a photo for Giusepp(a or i) O Torrisi with a birth year of 1918 and a death year of 1920. I did not know if this could be the first Joseph that died?

Let me know,

I so glad the photos helped you eliminate the incorrect person and helped you find the one you were seeking.

All the best,

Hi. I went to the Dundee Township West cemetery today and found the graves you had asked photos for. There was a Minnie Peters with her husband, William. The main stone was for H.E. Peters and his wife, Minnie (not the same as the one you requested). On the side of the main stone was J.J. Shuknecht and his wife, Caroline. On the other side was Father and Mother (no names given). Beside the large stone and the one for William and Minnie, were small markers. Two said "Father" two said "Mother" one said "Minnie" and one said "Henry." I'm guessing Henry is H. F. Peters and "Minnie" is the other Minnie. Who the two "Fathers" and "Mothers" are, I'm not sure. There were no markers anywhere nearby that said "Lydia" on them.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the Transfer.

In DeSmet Cemetery, is James mother, Sarah Hunt Gilmore, May 1880 to Dec 1944, and her second husband, John H. Gilmore, 1872 to Sep 1948.

Since they are not listed on Find A Grave, should I make a page for them and then request a photo ?

RE: Hunts
James Hunt is in my family line. If you would like to transfer, that would be helpful.

James' birth information was located on WW I Draft Registration Cards for Kingsbury County, South Dakota; and on Ancestry - Iowa, Births and Christenings Index, 1857-1947.

He was the son of N.B. Hunt and Sarah M. Brown. After the death of his father, his mother, married J. H. Gilmore. She and J.H. are buried in DeSmet. but are not listed on Find-a-Grave.

RE: Marjorie Fisher
No. No real problem...perhaps I did not make my suggestion clear. I was only pointing out that the photo requests that get top priority are those that have a burial plot identified. Otherwise, we volunteers have to wait until the office is open and then stand in front of them and wait for them to look through their records.

I am about to go to Greenwood now, and I will go in and ask for the location of your requested photo...just because of this misunderstanding.

With any luck, I will fulfill your request today.

Glad you cleared up your Coles. There is still a Mary Cole, no dates, in Grandview. If you ever come accross information on the Grandview Coles, let me know.
Thanks for your work on Find A Grave!

Sure...I can link a lot of the Kidd and Matthews families. Haven't found out how to link other than parent and spouse. I actually received a request this evening from another descendent of Nancy's who found the link here!

RE: Orlina Dodge
Hi, Kathy -

Thank you for making the additions - no, I am not related to Orlina.

When I see a web site that has a deficit of information or misinformation I attempt to make the information correct and complete.

Even though Orlina is not my direct relative I would be happy to accept her memorial. I feel bad for her since other family members are buried elsewhere.

Thank you for your interest in her memorial. Find A Grave naming convention says to list what is on the headstone and mention all other names in the bio or with links. This helps eliminate duplicates while transcribing a cemetery as someone would not know to look under a name not listed on the headstone. The naming conventions can be found in the FAQ part of the website. Neither name is perfect but since Find A Grave does not facilitate listing all possible last names in a way that is searchable using what is on the headstone seems to be the best way to do it.

Minos Cole

Again Happy to have made the connection with Minos and his Parents. I thought this was more than likey the case because of the dates. Thanks again for the input! I have no connections to the Cole's but like my Memorials as complete as possible. Thanks again,
