photo request - Leo Campanian
Hello ~ I tried to fulfill your photo request for Leo at the Sweet Grass Cemetery but was unable to find a marker for him. There were some gravesites that had flower memorials but no temporary or permanent markers that I could find. I did take some plot views of these - if you are able to confirm the location he is interred I could add a plot view if that is helpful.

I'll watch for an update to your photo request.

Thank you ~ Linda

Yes, you may use the picture. It was taken shortly after their marriage. His wife, Bea, was my mother's sister, so I have several of their pictures and other things. He was a good man, helping my mother, even teaching her to drive, after my Dad died. I would appreciate the credit, just for future reference.

Thank you Mairbair57 for the information you sent.
I'm thankful for having known Dr. Bowie at UNF.
Such a kind man and an excellent musician.

The memorial that was entered before mine has the wrong name on it. Have them correct the name and I will delete mine.

I will delete my memorial for him. Someone has changed the name on the other one and their memorial was created first. Thanks and have a great day. MMM

The family plot is very lovely. I have each person individually as well as other shots. Let me know if you need the rest of them.

I can't remember if I posted them all or not.

And you are so welcome. I was glad to have gotten this for you.

Glad that you can make a trip to Shiloh yourself in the near future. It would be very nice to photograph all the markers there. We do that on occasion, but usually the cemeteries are smaller than Shiloh. Good luck!

We believe the discrepancy on the grave markers are the Date of Burial. I will put a note on the memorial to this fact.

Hello, I believe this is my grandfathers first wife who died very young. His name was James Wesley Mings, Sr. and was born in 1883 also. I was told that she died in a boarding house fire at a very young age. Please, let me know if this is her. I have a picture of her with my grandfather from about that date. Thank you, Jacque

You're welcome. I had taken photographs there almost a year ago and never got them uploaded so it was a surprise to me when I uploaded one and got the notification that I'd fulfilled a request! It gave me incentive to revisit that cemetery since there are lots of memorials without photos.

RE: Rockbridge Baptist Church Cemeter
You are quite welcome.
I saw your "Note" about the missing photos and that rekindled my curiousity. I did most of that cemetery many years ago, 2006, but did not know that the photos were wiped clean. I went over yesterday afternoon and took only photos of flat markers or those facing West. I will go back, weather permitting, and get the rest in the next few days.
Hopefully they will remain a little longer this time.
Best regards to you and all yours, Bud.

I posted over a thousand memorials at PR Cemetery showing the years, so all months and dates have not been added yet. I have been compiling another PR Cemetery book which has been another big project. I do have tombstone photos for all to view on each memorial. Are you related to Mrs. Black? I know her family.

You're welcome. We've made this cemetery our project to make sure all readable stones are entered. Will take a while, but we'll get it!! Jacque G.
