RE: Beattie Family
Yes, I saw the Park Ranger photo of Hugh Powers Beattie, and I thought it was GREAT! As it turns out Nancy Mae Beattie, was married to, Warren E Beattie, who is buried next to her. I have connected their memorials. Their grave markers also match.

Beattie Family
The photographer took a nice photo for Nancy Mae Beattie today. She had information that Nancy was buried between Warren E Beattie (1860-1937), and Leon Beattie, who is not indicated on the burial database.

Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Cypress) & (Glendale), CA., checked carefully for both Bert N Henderson & Gloria Mae (Powers) Henderson. No record for either of them found. I was wondering if "Bert" is a nickname, quite often used for another name?

Maybe you might be able to assist me with one more thing. When you talk with his family members could you please ask about the wife of Hugo Gaddis Powers. Her name was Gloria May Powers 1898-1973. After the death of Hugo, she married Bert N Henderson. I believe she died Gloria Mae (Powers) Henderson, on 6 Nov 1973, in Laguna Hills, Orange, CA. Does her family know where she is buried? Where is Bert N Henderson, buried? He died 17 Mar 1990, in Laguna Hills, Orange, CA.

With my thanks,

Hi Donna, I understand, some people won't take responsibility for taking care of their memorials. I sure hope this works this time.
God bless you,
Bonnie

RE: Ruby Brackenbury
Good morning Donna,

I retraced my steps for Ruby on ancestry.com. I did not find a birth, marriage, or death records. Also, did searches on newspapers in Nevada and in Humboldt County for an obituary but no cigar.

The Sunrise Cemetery Lot Deed record list name as Ruby Blythe Brackenbury, female, married, nativity as Oregon, death place as Nevada, age 63, death date 18 March 1970, interred date 26 March 1970, no record is listed as cause of death.

Some of the family trees on ancestry.com list Mill City as birth place but they do not list any documents/sources as proof. By the way Mill City is located in two Oregon counties - Linn and Marion.

Ruby's birth place listed in all U.S. Federal Censuses is Oregon. I found Ruby's birth date/place by searching the Oregon Historical Records Index. Unfortunately it does not list the city in Oregon but just the county which is Marion. Here is the link: http://genealogy.state.or.us/detail.php?id=602381

What is Page Pioneer?

Dave

Hello Donna,

I see that you have Phil and Carla Martin (Grand Canyon Pioneer Cemetery) listed as Page Pioneers. I'm curious if both were in Page early on or just one of them? Also do you know what role their parents played in the early Page/Glen Canyon Dam development?

Thanks,

Cindy Stafford

RE: Linda DOERING Ottmar
You are SOOO welcome! I will take a better picture when the weather clears. But wanted to get the pictures out soon. Nancy and I are working together to photograph the cemetery, so if there are any other family members you would like us to photograph, please let me know.

I was raised in Kennewick!!!! My folks moved to Edmonds when my dad was transferred in 1976 so I never did get to go back "home", since I was at college. I am now trying to help others in the Edmonds area (but still miss my friends in Kennewick, since I never did get to go back home). It was never quite the same with not going back home. But I love helping folks in the TC and here!

Cheers from Edmonds, WA!

Linda Ottmar
Hi there-
I was photographing graves at Restlawn and just wanted to let you know I added a picture to the memorial for your Linda Ottmar. #111615655.

The cemetery has not been trimmed lately, and I had to trim the grass away from the marker quite a bit, and didn't trim all of it, but enough to see the dates. I am hoping to retake some pics after the cemetery crew trims the markers!

Cheers form Edmonds!
Tami

Hello,

I am a descendant of Henry Gollinger of Munising, Michigan. You posted his obituary and a photo of the Confectionery Store he owned. I was wondering where you took the photo as I'd like to contact whomever owns the photo to see if a print can be made of it.

Thank you for taking the time to complete his profile so nicely ; )

Picture on Max Powell's find a grave
Donna, I am trying to upgrade Dad's (Max Powell) find a grave information and would like to add a picture of him not long before he died. So would you mind removing the picture that you put on of Marie, Mom, Dad and myself so that I can add another one. I want the one of their wedding picture to stay but if you could remove the other one that would be great.
Thanks,
Coral Lee

RE: Dorothy Van Driest Lansberry
Hi again, Neat that you knew Dorothy's children! Auto-add is under Edit tab, where a contributor can put in the numbers for the parents and spouse. It's changed and got the impression FindaGrave hangs on to it a couple of days before actually inserting it or depending on the owner of the memorial to add them in. Maybe I don't understand it either and am glad you connected them. Wish I had more photos of this family, but I don't. Gaylord, Dorothy's brother, was cremated when he died and was a rancher so am guessing his ashes are out at the ranch at Shepherd. Also guess I could put up a memorial with no place of interment shown and link him to his parents. Then the family would be altogether. Only have obits for them and usually don't post them either.
Lena's brother or uncle, don't have my gen. program open just now to check, name of Ival Carmichael, lived in Wyoming for a time. Guess he came to visit long before I came out to this country to get acquainted with his cousins here. My husband talked every so often about going up to see them in Montana, but never got "roundtuit."

Dorothy Van Driest Lansberry
Hi Donna, Have posted an auto-add and links for Dorothy's parents in Montana. What a lovely memorial this is and such a pretty girl! Dorothy was related to my husband through her mother Lena Carmichael Van Driest. Lena's paternal grandmother was a Wamsley and my husband's g-aunt! There is a family resemblance among the Wamsleys and do see it in Dorothy as well. It all surely makes things interesting, doesn't it? :-) Sandra W in CO
