Have you seen this weird duplicate memorial?
I'm sure you took the photo in Mt. Olivet!
Here's the other one:
They must have uploaded to the wrong cemetery?

|Kathryn Call||death date discrepancy|
I saw the photo of the grave marker for Katharine
Goodman. On the head stone her death date is listed as 1894 but the record for the date is 1914. Can you clear this up for me? Which date is correct? I am assuming 1894.
you can contact me at
Thank you so much for your valuable service!!!

Thanks for the response. I will post a screen shot from Fold3.com that shows his death place and date and some information about him from the official roster. Neosho is only 14 miles from the cemetery, and the death year is the same as on the grave.
I am not a relative. I am doing research on burial sites of some Wisconsin soldiers. I finished the 24th Regiment and am working on the 26th.

I have evidence from Fold3.com that John Wendorf is likely of Co. B, 26th Wisconsin, not a NY Regiment. It says John Wendorf of the 26th WI died in Neosho, WI on 4/23/1926. I would be happy to email a screen shot to you if you don't have access to Fold3.com

Yes, you may use my picture. I welcome anyone to use my pictures and I'm glad that I'm able to help someone locate their loved ones. If you would like me to transfer ownership of this memorial please let me know.
I appreciate your kind words in regard to my profile. I often wonder upon an odd grave like you do and often feel the same way about wanting to trace their history to see where it leads. I recently had the experience of stumbling upon an old friend of my parents in the Wilmington cemetery during my picture taking. He had moved away and then disappeared. Come to find out he passed away soon after moving away based on his headstone information. It was a kind of closure for us to finally know what happened to him.
Again, thank you for taking the time to reach out to me. If you happen to have any others near me whom you'd like me to take a picture of, please let me know.

|Susie ||Re: Martin Dunn d. April 1905|
There being two Martin Dunn's in Janesville and a Mrs. Martin but plots do not match, I will just furnish you with the family relationship for you to link. I have not been able to locate his nephew, Edward Carroll in order to link him with his two children buried in Monroe (Joseph and Helen, nor Martin's sister Ellen, who is Edward and Henry's mother. Happy Digging for someone.:

Veteran Hotel Clerk Passes Away at His Home In Janesville
Martin Dunn, one of the best known residents of Janesville passed away late Friday afternoon at his home, 106 North Jackson street. He had been ill for several weeks and the end was not entirely unexpected. For many years, the deceased was a clerk at the Dyers Hotel and two years ran for city clerk on the democratic ticket. He is survived by a wife and one son, Charles Dunn. Mr. Dunn was a sister [brother] of Mrs. Ellen Carroll of Farley, Ia., who has been with him the past three weeks. His nephews, Edward Carroll and Henry Carroll will attend the funeral which will be held either Monday or Tuesday.

I have looked at many stones, some stones are preserved but some are just rock markers with no names on them. I will try to get a lay out of the cemetery, & maybe that will help locate the graves. I haven't given up let. Irene Brewer

I'm so sorry I could not find the headstone you ask for. I am also related to the Prater's on my dad's side of the family & would have loved to find the headstone. I will go back & look again later.

|TRISH||RE: Picture for Patrick James Bresnahan|
Hi Susan ~
Patrick James BROSNAHAN - Memorial #89366807 is buried in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Wisconsin Dells, WI.
There seems to be 3 family's, with 3 different surname spellings, buried in this cemetery.
BresnEhan - BresnAhan - BrOsnahan
So, when looking for any of these folks you will need to do a search using ALL 3 of these spellings.
There were several duplication of memorials created because of this problem.
