Hi Dani . . . please just write me at my personal e-mail address -- kalahar@hickorytech.net -- it makes thing so much easier to keep track of than this "public" communication. Thanks for contacting me!

Hi,

I have transferred this memorial to you. There should be a merge done but the one I did with the photo of the marker was actually done before the other person created an "unknown" burial which really shouldn't be done if it can be helped. I'm sorry but this is all the information I have. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

You can search the Observer archives. There are a lot of references to the Duclos family and at least one pioneer bio of George Duclos, son of Exephir. You may find something there http://www.quesnelmuseum.ca/caribooobserver_form.html

Hi Dani,
Unfortunately the local newspaper, the Cariboo Observer, didn't start until 1908. I checked the Cariboo sentinal newspaper which was printed in Barkerville, and goes back to 1865, and there is no mention of a Duclos.

Hi. Thanks for your note. I do not have a source for the November 1903 death date for Mrs. GOULET so I have removed all reference to a specific date for now. If you are related to this family, I would be happy to transfer the memorials to you. Just let me know.

Regards,

I'm sorry to tell you that there will be no picture for Albert Duclos. If you are a descendant of Albert, you may be able to claim the ashes for him. The Community Vault 1 is a locked closet with shelves.
I have been part of a volunteer team Identifying and uploading onto Find a Grave these memorials. The vast majority have been left by family. Many were to be picked up, but were left.
Many Blessings!
Rev. Larry

Dani,

Here is the grave location J/43/D which I sent the edit to you. You can request photos for them and get better pictures. The picture I posted was taken by Judy who gave me permission to post her photos.

Blessings,
Sharla

I have merged them. making the only one left being owned by someone who isn't with Find A Grave any longer. My suggestion is to send Find A Grave a request by the edit tab on each one, tell them these are your grandparents and request a transfer due to the inactive of the original owner. They will transfer to you just might take a little while. geraldine

Transferred. Don't know if also related but there are two Duclos persons, Marie and Marie A, with F-A-G memorials at Holyrood.

RE: Duclos!
You are very welcome. Glad to help. I did find three others named Duclos unmarked graves while at Calvary - Julia, Louis, and Napoleon. Do you want transfers of the memorials I input for them? There is also a Loretta Duclos there but her plot wasn't on any of the diagrams I already have and the office was closed. Will be back there this or next week and will look for her as well.

I'm sorry, but I no longer live in Indiana. I've moved to Virginia so I won't be able to claim your photo request.

You are welcome...I have VERY good Nikon's and an excellent Pentax K10, so I wanted as sharp as possible and still be able to load it. I actually retouched it to enhance and "clean" the marker...if you have any other relatives near here, let me know and I'LL retrieve those for you...

Dani,

I spent 3 full days and a little on the 4th. Took more time pulling grass around the stones than it did photographing and took over 2000 photos in all.

The inscription is as follows:
LOWELL
Son of
John & Malinda
HULTS
Apr. 11, 1891
Apr. 28, 1892

I am having some problems getting location to go take a photo.
I contacted Find a Grave and they suggested I write you and have you contact the cemetery and get an exact location: Name of area in cemetery and a plot # or area #.
They are being asked to look up a lot of information and say they have to put these requests last. With only 2 weeks to do these, it's a problem.
I emailed the cemetery and never got a response back.
If this continues I won't be able to take photos as I don't want to bother them more than once.
