RE: Edit Suggestions for Youngblood Memorials
I have been working on the Rose Hill cemetery for over a year now...almost finished. My primary focus has been to photograph the stones. However, I am also helping (where I can) with the reuniting of families (Beckie Leone got me started on that...since that is her niche).

Good luck with your research LS.

Hello,
I looked at our compiled works and since you are the grandchild, I will delete my memorials in Milford Cemetery. A contributor named Carol took gravestone pictures so I have contacted her to move her pictures to the new memorial. As soon as that has been completed I will delete my memorials. Duplicates are easy to do. We just get excited and forget to search Findagrave for our person before adding them. I think I have learned my lesson. I added most of the people for an entire cemetery and later learned that cemetery was listed under another name. Oops! I don't know if they have fixed that one yet.

Sallie Melear Youngblood
Thanks, Geoff, for the note regarding the added info on Sallie Melear. As yet I have not been able to find her tombstone or her sister's. According to the cemetery records, they are buried next to each other. One of these days maybe I will find it. Sandra O'Donnell Perry

Hi Geoff,
It is so exciting to hear you desire to build a good history for these memorials. I love them to be full of information that makes them "come alive"! Possibly poor choice of a description, but you know what I mean.

Thank you for caring for them. They deserve the best and I think, with you, they will have it!

Take care, Beckie

I was pleasantly surprised, too, at the attendant's generosity. She even printed out the interment cards. The only problem was that the cemetery has not been watered in a very long time, and the dust I stirred made me think I was "Pigpen's" successor.

Will keep looking.

Sallie was the dau. of Zachariah T. Melear and Jane Jopling(Joplin) Melear.

Sallie is bur. Shannon Rose Hill Cem. in Fort Worth. I could not find a tombstone for her but will keep looking as the funeral home says there is a gravestone for her.

RE: Sallie Melear Youngblood
She was the dau. of Zachariah T. Melear and Jane Catherine Jopling. If you are familiar with the Joplin/Melear cabin in downtown Arlington park, you will see the connection.

My side, however, is the Jopling. My g-g-grandfather was Benjamin Jopling, who came to Tarrant Co., ca 1850-56.

Thanks for doing the update. I plan to go to Rose Hill today or tomorrow and get pix of all the Melears buried there and post on their sites.

Garrett White
This was a newspaper article about his murder in 1921 and you had seen a discussion thread on Find A Grave about his burial being in Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville. I had an unknown burial location before that. This was some time ago and I am just now getting around to going through a bunch of email dealing with Find A Grave and I found this and 'moved' him to the correct cemetery.

Regards,

Sue
