No, Memorial #34969255
Daniel Davidson Sr b 1753 Washington Co VA died 1832 Perry County, Kentucky

The memorial says s/o James Davidson & Mary Catherine McConnell

I have s/o Samuel & Mary Margaret Manor (Maynor?)

I'm not a descendant but one of my best friends is -- he grew up in an orphanage and wanted to know about his ancestry. Daniel is his 6th great grandfather and I don't want to give him his father and be wrong - YIKES :)

Daniel Davidson & Sarah White
I have that Daniel was the son of Samuel & Margaret Sarah Maner - I see here everyone agrees it's James Davidson. Hmmm, where'd I go wrong?

Misali
corrections made, however...

Ethel Misali is the sister of Paul Misali. Thanasea "Ethel" Kourlas Misili is Paul's wife.

Also, very recently Margaret Schmidt Misali , wife of Akila Misali (parents unknown as he is still living ) was buried recently.

thought you'd like to know. All records for Misali in Spring Grove Cemetery are updated.

Hey there! They finally got Jean's stone up. They must have done it over the weekend. I've seen the footer there for a while, but now it's finally there. I put a picture of it on her page. :-)

Glad to do it. I live within a mile of the cemetery and I thought helping Find a Grave requesters would be a good side project. Don't care about the credit, but thanks. Also added the 2 you requested, + the dau., to 'BillionGraves' which requires an upload of a geotagged pic from a smart phone. Its a fairly new site, and unfortunately iy didn't say you cannot orient the pic after its uploaded, so one is upside down. You can rotated it to look at it on their site, but it doesn't stay that way.

You're very welcome, Doc. I don't mind at all. I spend a lot of time at the cemetery. I still have about 2000 pictures on my computer to upload and try to add pages for missing people and try to link them to their relatives. I know exactly where Jean is buried, so I will check back from time to time to see if the stone is up. I'll take a picture when it gets put up and we can take down the other photo. :-)

RE: Barger Transfers
You're very welcome! I'm glad I could reunite some people that you knew. I have been in the process of going through the Scottsburg Cemetery bit by bit, stone by stone trying to get eveyone on there. When I get extra time in the evenings, I enjoy getting on Ancestry.com and finding out who these people are and who they belong to. I especially like linking up people with parents in eastern Kentucky. My dad grew up in Perry County, but has lived here for over 50 years. I love going to cemeteries down there, but I really need to get a 4 wheel drive before I do it again! Anyway, I'm just glad I can help. I don't mind transferring memorials to people if that memorial has meaning to them and they will take care of it as I know you will. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Samuel Davidson
Doc,

Would you please contact me by e-mail - bwhicks@att.net and let me send you the notes I have in my file of Sameul. This would be what I have on him BUT it might be useful to you. They are too long to post here.

Yes, Samuel and my Silas were 1/2 brothers. In my research over the last 10 or eleven years, I have found that MANY of the Daniel Davidson's descendants went to Iowa, including Silas. Silas married married Elizabeth "Phoebe" Lewis in Clay County, Kentucky on 25 November 1812. they had 6 children, all of which were born in Perry Couunty, Kentucky. Sometime before 1835 Silas migrated to Missouri and I think ALL of his children went with him. Sarah had died, in Kentucky we think as Silas re-married to a Widow whose 1st name was Elizabeth in 1832 in Clay County, Kentucky. SO, then he and the new Elizabeth broght the children to Indiana plus he they had two children together, one born in September 1832 in Indiana. My Great Grandfather was their ELDEST son and died at a fairly young age. Silas had left Indiana and gone to Iowa by that time.

Please contact and we will chat.

Esign Daniel Davidson
Hello,

First of all, we are distant Cousins. My Great Great Grandfather was the son of Daniel & Sarah White Davidson. His name was Silas Davidson. Silas left Kentucky and moved to Indiana, from there to Iowa where he died. His son, John, was my Great Grandfather, who lived and died in Indiana. His son, William was my Grandfather. He was in the Union Army from Indiana, captured in the Battle of the Wilderness and held in Andersonville Prison on May 6, 1864 and held there until the last of the war. He left Indiana when he was released and came to Missouri, where his descendants now live, including me.

If you will E-mail me at bwhicks@att.net, I will send you a picture of Silas which I have and my Grandfather and Grandmother, if you like.

I LOVE pictures. thanks for posting them.

My Grandfather and Grandmother are buried in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Cass County, Missouri. I have not posted the grave information BUT I believe others have. I haven't checked it for accuracy, but I will.

Please contact. Love to have stories and pictures.

I Also, have found, in the past, information for the Samuel of which you speak and can furnish that to you.
