|Long Black Veil||Elizabeth Mallory Bourne|

|Long Black Veil||Harvey H Comer|
I have done a great deal of research on the families of Harvey H Comer. No where have I found a record/document to support Harvey' middle name as Hicks, except in family trees submitted to web sites or pedigree charts submitted to the local historical society in Grayson Co. In done of the family trees or pedigree charts was a source given for the middle name of Hicks for Harvey H Comer.
James H Comer (S/O Harvey H & Elizabeth M Bourne). I did find three birth records for children of James H Comer, listing James' middle name as Harvey Comer. People just don't do their research, they except what someone told them, make up a name for a person, believe everything on a death certificate or in an obit. Rich Kreiss is one member who uses a lot of obits, or what someone tells him, not doing his research well.
I cannot line a parents to a child... you have to contact the person who has the child listed on Find A Grave to get the child linked to his/her parents.
You stated you were a descendant of Harvey H & Elizabeth M Bourne. How are you related to Harvey and Elizabeth?

|Nathan LORANCE||Transfer Completed|
No Problem, the dates I did have for James Asa KEELE are from the transcriptions listed in the published book on Cannon County Cemeteries so if the death date was in error I'm sorry about that.

I am aware of the significance of the monuments to the county Rev. War Veterans by the DAR. My photograph of Richard Keele's marker is designated as a CENOTAPH. I have made further reference to that fact in the Bio. I can add a reference to the burial site if you wish.

I am sorry, but I do not know who cares for the cemetery. I too found it in bad shape when I went to take a photo request. I can only imagine whatever care is given is done by the people living in the home behind it. Several family cemeteries in the area, organize their family and clean their cemeteries once a year. My husband used to clean tree limbs and overgrowth from the cemeteries we visited, but he woke up blind in November of 2013, and 4 surgeries later he is still without sight.

That's really cool...so John Nathaniel and Celia were your Mother's great-great Uncle and Aunt then? We are definitely cousins.. I love this kind of thing! Regarding Amanda....you have found more than I ever have regarding her last name. Every list I've seen has her as Moore, but I've always wondered what the "C" stood for.

I found a page with some of the info we've all been looking for

My Mom and I are pretty sure Amanda's maiden name WAS Moore. We are trying to find records. When we do, we will let you know.

That is so nice of you! I really appreciate it. We are trying to find out more about my great grandfather Dr. B. N. Comer's family as well. We know more about my Great Grandmother Edna E. Wymore Comer(Dr. Comer's wife) because we have a detailed book about the Wymores. Do you know of them? Could we be related? How are you related to John and Celia?

My name is Ryan Tolbert. I am assembling the graves of my direct ancestors for myself and my mother. My mother is Carol Moore Little Tolbert. Her mother was Pauline Wymore Comer Moore. Pauline's father was Dr. Bertis Nathaniel Comer. Dr. Comer's parents were John Nathaniel and Celia Sophia Comer.

We will be going back to Bone Cemetery. This time I will take my flour and charcoal. The next photo we upload should be alot easier to read. Born March 1805, Died Feb. 3, 1887, can not make out a day of birth. Hopefully we will have more information before the week is out. I enlarged the photograph we have and still can not make it out due to the lichen growth.

The memorial I set up for Eula (Powell) Foster (wife of Melvin Foster) was simply one that was 'begging' me to create it, so I did!
I have no known relationship to her, and since she is so closely related to you, I felt you should be the one to take care of it from now on, so I've transferred it to you.

I checked the cemetery books on Thomas, Mary, Phesant and Katherine Littleton. The only name listed is Thomas and it has only the information that is stated on his new Rev War marker.
If they are indeed buried in Cave Creek cemetery, I would say they are in unmarked grave sites.
Good luck with your research.

Barbra, I uploaded a couple of images for your page for Evelyn Allen, there is a note attached regarding the second image once you click on the photo. You are more than welcome to delete that one if you want, it just helps give more detail to her page. Of note, a headstone for her son Dale Allen lies next to hers. Is he still living? Let me know if you need me to upload that image or not. Take care, Helen

|Louise||RE: Presbyterian Cemetery|
It is probably Bethel Cemetery often known as Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. It is an historically old cemetery located in downtown Kingston.
Diane may have used the cemetery books for her information. The lists were compiled by listing the markers and using any other documents available such as death certificates and or funeral home records. The next time I use the books I will look and see if there is a notation by Thomas's name.

|Louise||RE: Regarding Thomas Littleton|
No I do not have any information on the actual cemetery records. I only know about the cemetery books at the Roane County Heritage Commission and they were compiled in 1986.

Regarding your photo requests at Cave Creek Cemetery. I took an area photo of Thomas Littleton's military marker. There are no other markers around it. Also I checked the cemetery books for his wife Mary and she is not listed and I did not see any marker for her today. Do you want the area photo I took uploaded on Thomas and Mary's memorial page. If yes, I can do it then remove it if you like.
