Not a direct relative. She's a 1st cousin 3x removed. I descend from John Lewis Hoffman, Bessie's father William's eldest brother.

The memorial I set up for Eula (Powell) Foster (wife of Melvin Foster) was simply one that was 'begging' me to create it, so I did!
I have no known relationship to her, and since she is so closely related to you, I felt you should be the one to take care of it from now on, so I've transferred it to you.

I checked the cemetery books on Thomas, Mary, Phesant and Katherine Littleton. The only name listed is Thomas and it has only the information that is stated on his new Rev War marker.
If they are indeed buried in Cave Creek cemetery, I would say they are in unmarked grave sites.
Good luck with your research.

Barbra, I uploaded a couple of images for your page for Evelyn Allen, there is a note attached regarding the second image once you click on the photo. You are more than welcome to delete that one if you want, it just helps give more detail to her page. Of note, a headstone for her son Dale Allen lies next to hers. Is he still living? Let me know if you need me to upload that image or not. Take care, Helen

|Louise||RE: Presbyterian Cemetery|
It is probably Bethel Cemetery often known as Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. It is an historically old cemetery located in downtown Kingston.
Diane may have used the cemetery books for her information. The lists were compiled by listing the markers and using any other documents available such as death certificates and or funeral home records. The next time I use the books I will look and see if there is a notation by Thomas's name.

No I do not have any information on the actual cemetery records. I only know about the cemetery books at the Roane County Heritage Commission and they were compiled in 1986.

Regarding your photo requests at Cave Creek Cemetery. I took an area photo of Thomas Littleton's military marker. There are no other markers around it. Also I checked the cemetery books for his wife Mary and she is not listed and I did not see any marker for her today. Do you want the area photo I took uploaded on Thomas and Mary's memorial page. If yes, I can do it then remove it if you like.

Thank you for looking. I've sent a message to the person who manages her memorial asking for help to locate the plot.

I have sent you an e-mail with some photos of the area around William's marker. I have found over twenty native limstone markers in this little cemetery icluding four casket shaped cairns, all with no legible marks. I will have all of these uploaded in the next day or two. The cemetery is only about 60 or 70 feet wide by 50 feet deep.

I am searching for Richard and Lydia's son Philmore/Fillmore and his wife Margaret Ann (Box). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Philmore would be my ggg grandfather through his son Mathias Washington Keele. Thanks in advance.

I am not sure how helpful I can be but I can sure try. I do have some information but it's primarily on the Bone family although I have come across both the Foster and Comer families in my research.
I am related through Abner's mother's younger brother.
I can try doing a look up if you want! :)

I photographed the entire cemetery several years ago and posted all the photos I took to the findagrave website. If a photo is not posted on the person's page, then I did not find one for that person.

It sounds like you've done quite a bit of work on your family genealogy, how inspiring that is! I visited the Stewart Cemetery to look for Meeker's tombstone hoping perhaps it was near Gideon's but was unable to determine if he had one or not. I found out who manages this particular cemetery near my house and will call her at the first opportunity to see what she can tell me about a potential marker if he is indeed buried at that cemetery.

I would be glad to transfer to you. Go to the memorial and click on the edit button of the memorial you want and put in your contributor # (they are distantly related to me, but not as close as you)

Sorry I don't know the answer to any of your questions. I just ran across the pic on my Ancestry account. I would like to know if the church is still standing. Maybe someday we can track it down.

Well it turns out I was wrong. Richard is related to me. He is my 7th great grandfather. He was on my tree in a different location and not very close at that point.
First, did you know you have an open request for his headstone pic and there is one on the page?
Next, I found a much earlier picture when the stone looked better. It is here: http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc408/caseywinningham/RichardKeele.jpg
Also, I found a picture of the church he built in 1809. It is the Garrison Fork Baptist Church and is on his farm in Beech Grove Tennessee. The picture is here: http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc408/caseywinningham/RichardKeele-Copy.jpg
Let me know what you think cousin.

If it's outside Greene County, I'm afraid I'll be no help. I know a few cemeteries in Cocke County, but none in Coffey County. Sorry.

|BookGoddess||RE: William Keele|
I've come across this before. I believe the cemetery is near the border of two counties or two towns and has been claimed by both. I haven't been out there yet to take pictures, but I'm pretty sure there is only one Keene Cemetery. Sometimes when entering the data, one doesn't know the exact town or county...
Let me look into it. If there's something I can do to fix it, I will. If we need to have Find A Grave do something, we'll grow old waiting.

Barbra, it was very sweet of you to sponsor Richard Keele's memorial. I don't remember why I created his page. I did not take the photo. I thought perhaps he was an ancestor. But a quick check shows him on my tree but not related. (dead end) So, if you like I would be happy to turn over management to you. As you are a direct descendant. Let me know.
