Jared and John Ford
My sister and I were at the Winterset Cemetery yesterday looking for some Ford graves and the caretaker there took us to Jared's grave as we are decedents from him. Beside him is Elizabeth and on the other side of her is J. E. Ford, who I think is John Erwin that you have requested. I got a picture of it too. At the time yesterday, I did not know that you had requested these pictures. The pictures are on my sister's phone and we have to have her daughter get them off for us (we are not tech savy!). It may take me more than two weeks as my niece lives 45 miles from us. I will post them when I get them. Phyllis Harwood

June Ford
Ford family
You have a lot of information on the family of John E Ford, and it adds to my feeling that his grandfather as well as my husband's ancestor John Ford are of the Faure/Ford family. I've never been able to show a link between Jared & John, other than their starting a church together, let alone prove or disprove a huguenot ancestry. If you can help me, I would surely appreciate it - & would be glad to share what I have.

RE: Estella Dieter-Green
Tks for your reply. Well, Sadie Estella Dieter was daughter of John Dieter & Lizzie Geist. She married 3X-William Henry Spotts, Michael Ellsworth Green, & Joseph Phinchisi "Phoenix". Sadie's DC says she died at home of Mrs Bud Bryant Benham, Ripley County, IN. Sadie did live in Ripley County, IN so I suppose they were neighbors/friends.

My great Aunt passed away at the home of Lois &
Linville "Bud" Bryant Benham March 8, 1940. I was wondering if you knew of their "connection".

Newspaper article regarding her death June 21 1911 Eau Claire Leader page 2, if you don't already have the details. Also Grand Rapids Wi. Tribune June 28 1911. Looking for something else and just found it.

Bertha Suckow

I added the notation regarding Bertha's marriage to Albert Suckow. Thanks for the suggestion. Let me know if there are any other changes I can make for you.

Thanks again,

William Beguhn
I read at least one of the newspaper articles about the death due to accidental shooting, and decided to leave out the sad details. If you want them included, maybe you should have management of his memorial. How is he related to you? Let me know.

I worked with a Beguhn who was a nurse years ago. Have been to their former farm which as I understand was either all or part of the original homestead. Off Iron Creek road now 765th St.

RE: re: Baughn
How is the name pronounced? Baughn/Baughan/Boughan/Boughn is usually pronounced "bawn" or "bown"

Our earliest Baughan Uas in this country at least by 1633. Transported people from London to Virginia. They seem to have been born in England.

RE: Washington Park Photo's
Thank you. I photographed the entire cemetery last summer/fall. I still have another 3,000 photos to verify if a memorial exists. I have at least an additional 4,000 photos to add to the memorials I created. In most cases if the burial was marked and occurred before 2013, I have a photo. I uneathered a lot of markers in the old section and an area that had over grown bushes. I hope to get caught up with the records by Memorial Day.

Thank you for the kind words. However, photos are at a stand still as we are buried in snow. Hopefully the thaw will soon happen!

EJ Bryant
Hey Suzy,

While doing some research, I came up with EJ's death cert. He died on March 15th in Kentucky. I think it says he was in the hospital.

Also, eventually I hope to find pictures of GG Laura and Grandma Delta Neel. They took care of me one time when my parents went to Florida and took my older siblings.

Thanks for all your laborious work.

Take care.
