Thank you Yvonne for the suggestion to update My Great Grandmothers Bio... I pulled it off of a rootsweb site and didn't even notice. Changes made... Thanks again!

RE: Mountain Valley Cemetery
The Liston graves should be just south, in the trees, of the first roadway South of the main entrance. Although the pathway there is East of the graves the large headstone's markings face the West. The headstone is about 2 feet high and 3 or 4 feet wide.

Thank you for your additions to the Find-A-Grave memorials in Mountain Valley.

Casimier Dery
Hi, Just a heads up about Casimier Dery. He is listed in both St. Thomas, Litchville ND and also in Fairview, Sanborn, ND. He is not listed in the Litchville History book 1900-2000 at the St. Thomas Cemetery. I would tend to believe he is at Fairview. Also, Henry Dery is listed at St. Thomas but not in the Litchville History book 1900-2000. Louie Dery is listed at Fairview at Sanborn also.

Thanks for adding a picture of Earl to his memorial. I just added his obituary. Would you like ownership of Earl's memorial? I am not related to him.

RE: Catherine Smith Barker
Alfred DeForest Smith is actually your memorial. The reason that he is shown as a half sibling on mine for Catherine Smith Barker is because you don't have Emanuel Smith put in as his father. Once you add that, it will be right.

We've chatted before on Ancestry.com. William H. Smith was my 3rd great grandfather. Catherine was his sister. BTW, all the newspaper and census listings have the spelling as Catherine.

Laura Pinks
Emeline Smith #96067805
I added that Emeline married Jonathan Smith of Chautauqua, New York.

The reason I have the spelling in the Census' is because that is the way the document spells it.

Also because I have Emeline connected to her parents she will be listed as a sibling even under her own memorial because that is the way find a grave has it set up.

RE: Susannah Potter Bradford
Hello again, I added Susannah in the first place to "bridge the gap." Her brother was Simeon Potter, a rich and famous privateer or pirate (depending on which side you were on). He married but had no children, and apparently his sisters and their children named their boys Simeon in the hope they would inherit!

My ggg grandfather was Simeon P Bradford so of course I wanted the whole story to be shown. My line is Abner-Elisha-Simeon P-John-William-Paul-Ellis-Carol. I have boys and my brother has girls, so we're daughtered out this generation. One of my first cousins has a boy who has a baby boy.

RE: Susannah Potter Bradford
Hi Yvonne,
Susannah is my 5G grandmother so I'd like to maintain her memorial. The "lost at sea etc" note on Find A Grave means that her burial location is unknown. She is probably buried at the cemetery in Kingston with her husband Abner but the grave has not been found. Many people are in this category and they weren't all really lost at sea.
Best wishes,
Carol Bradford

I am a descendant of Hopestill Potter and Lydia his wife through his daughter Mary. Mary married Thomas Garrett.
Hopestill and Lydia had 5 children. More are listed on another site but I have no verification of them. Of these 5 I have traced and seen on a number of geneaology sites.

William H. Smith
William is actually buried with his son, John, and daughter-in-law, Hattie, at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart. There is already a Find-A-Grave memorial for him at that place. He was originally interred at the vault of Grace Lawn Cemetery in 1916, but moved a few years later. His birthdate should be July 23, 1824, as his sister Mary Ann was born in June 1823.

Hi Yvonne,

I'm sorry, but your Alfred Deforest Smith is not in my tree, so I don't have any information on him. I did check Michigan death certificates and found his, but unfortunately he died a widower, and the certificate lists his parents as unknown:

Best regards,

RE: James Ayling
There is some confusion here. I am not sure why Jason is the name. I no longer have the original file that I submitted to Find A Grave. I know that Jas is James and I also have another James in this cemetery. I do know that Find A Grave now allows folks to submit edits and they are automatically accepted after 2 weeks if the member doesn't respond to them. I have tried to be on top of my requests but I don't know how many were auto approved without my knowledge prior. Thanks, Pat
