RE: Twinville Cemetery
I have checked out the Twinville Cemetery and photographed most of it. I think some of your Nichols family are buried there. There were only 3 listings there and no photos when I checked it on Find A Grave. I have made 60 more listings. I photographed all of the listings that I made, but I had bad lighting on many of them, I will get out there at a better time and take photos again. I did not see any Powells there. I also checked out Fairview Cemetery just over the Anderson Co. line and a few miles north of Twinville. There was one Powell and no Nichols there. I took photos at Fairview but most of the graves there are already listed.

I am also related to the Nichols family through the wife of John York b abt.1791 Randolph Co. NC and d 21 Jan 1868 in Knox Co TN. She was Sally Nichols b unk. in ?Randolph? Co NC and died abt. 1838 in Knox Co. TN.

RE: Powell Cemetery and Twinville Cemetery
I have not heard of the Powell Cemetery, but there is a Twinville Cemetery located only a few miles North of the McHaffie - Jett Cemetery across Norris Freeway, on Raccoon Valley Rd. It is listed on Find A Grave but only list 3 graves. Its is listed as;

Twinville Cemetery
Twinville
Knox County
Tennessee, USA

There are more than 3 graves there. I will put it on my "to do list" and check it out for you soon.

RE: Bessie Irene Corning
I think I just gave you permission to use a photo that wasn't even mine. Maybe I don't know how this message thing works on Find A Grave. I'm referring to Bessie I Corning's tombstone picture. Sorry. Gloria

I'm soooooo sorry I didn't see your request until now. If it's not too late, of course you can use the photo I added of Bessie Irene Corning's tombstone. I don't even know who she is, so if it's an entry I posted, I'd be glad to transfer ownership to you if you'd like. Gloria Goltiani

RE: Minnie Powell Jenkins
Katie, this must be memorial # 34268775 located in the Mchaffie Jett Cemetery, Knox County, TN. Is that correct? At that memorial I have cropped and posted an up-dated un-reduced full size photo for you to use.

I will go back by the cemetery and try to get you a photo with better lighting. This cemetery is in the shade and when the trees have leaves on them it is hard to get a photo with good lighting. It might be next winter before there is good lighting at this cemetery.

Also I am not related to Minnie that I know of, so I would be glad to transfer her to you if you are related. Let me know about the transfer.

Thanks
Bobby

How fun - my children's Powell grandfather wsa married to her aunt and I learned about her exploits from them. I will certainly try to see the exhibit at the Greeley Museum when [if] I ever get back to Colorado. Miss it - it is my home state!
