James Coston
Leta Miller Day's sister
Ashley, Leta Miller Day is listed in Section 16, that won't be a problem -but- U also asked about her sister who married a Tabor.
There are no listings in the registry of the cemetery for that surname. (any ideas ??)
I'll run by there next week sometime and take of the request for Leta. Going out of town for a few days,
Later, James Coston

Ashley,
I got a call from my Ed Duet's sister Dawn.
She said Ed was never in the military; but their brother Ruffin was; but he wasn't in Vietnam.
Hope this gives you some closure.
There is an Ed Duett on Facebook have you tried contacting him.
GOD bless.

RE: William White Mansell
Actually I am related to the Presley's so far down the line, according to my brother's DNA test, that I don't know if it's considered a link. Elvis is related to the Manell's through White Mansell's daughter Octavia Luvenia "Doll" Mansell who married Robert Lee Smith. White's parents were John and Elizabeth Gilmore Mansell, son of William and Morning Dove White.

I am sending a place in www.familysearch.org to go to to check out more information on the Mansells. I haven't proven any of this but I do believe Wiilliam and Morning Dove White had more than two children.

According to the 1840 Marion County, ALA census, W. Mansell had 2 sons -1 male 5-10 and 1 male 10-15 and two daughters, 1 fe.5-10 and 1 fe. 10-15. He was listed at 40-50 and his wife was listed as 30-40.

There is another W. C. Mansell in the 1840 Marion County,ALA with a son 5-10 and 5 daughters, 2 daug. under 10 and 3 daughter 10-14. He is listed as 20-30 and wife 20-30. Too young to be Morning Dove White's husband.

Actually I am referring to White Mansel (A. W. Mansell), son of John and Elizabeth Gilmore Mansell. John is the son of William Mansell and Morning Dove White.

Harris
I went back to double check for the marker.. I agree that being a veteran Leon Harris should have a marker.. It is my understanding that he has been approved for the Vet marker but is wife has to approve the design and authorize. She needs to contact Rita White at Mount Hope Memorial Gardens 734-522-2200.. steve

I'm sorry, but I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Harris. He seemed like a very nice man, and I hope your father has fond memories of him. Blessing to you.

Ashley,
I'm terribly sorry I have not answered this message before now.
Sometimes messages get lost in the GOOD INTENTION file.
I'm not sure if Ed servec in Viet Nam; but my guess is that he did.
I'll see if I can locate one of his two half-sisters and get that information for you.
They are blood related whereas Ed is a step-cousin.
If I can be of further help please let me know.

Electra & William Mansell
Morning Ashley,
Since I was looking for them in Mexia Cemetery for Ya a few weeks back and only found Walter Mansell, I took an interest and checked the electronic records of every cemetery in Limestone County and Walter is the only one that I found a listing for.
I went over to Mexia Memorial last week and walked the entire cemetery twice, I never found the "Mansell" surname.
I tried to locate death certificates for them hoping to find a burial listing, never found any reference to them.
If U come up with something concrete on them, let me know and I'll go check it out.
Later, James Coston

RE: Willie S. Harrell
Hello Ashley I'm not the one who posted the submission for US Army Vietnam veteran Willie S. Harrell. Yes that is my photo of the front of Jefferson Barracks Nat. Cemetery, MO but Find a Grave posts that photo on all the entries for that cemetery. In this case of Willie's entry, it was a contribtor named Mr. Tom who posted the entry. Maybe he knows Willie? In regards to military records, yes I have excess to certain files and might be able to help? or at list tell you how to secure such files. Thanks and best always,

I tried to locate William & Electra per your request but to no avail. I did however find the marker for Walter in section 17 & posted his fotos just in case he is a family member.

RE: Accardo grave and New London School Explosion
I think that was a "small world" coincidence, my husband's grandmother's family were Ouachita parish Italians (Adragna's and Airoldi's) so I leave a lot of flowers at St. Matthews. That is amazing about your other grandparent and the New London school. What a life event! I can't imagine, but our local tv station does a story on the anniversary every year. I'm hoping to go soon to the museum there.
