RE: #129729558
Thanks for writing, I am familiar with the book, another cousin in CA has it or has seen it.... I have been unable to get a copy of it. Are you on Ancestry?
I will write you from my personal e-mail tonight.

This may be a very long shot.... but stranger things have happened...
Do you happen to know anything on Isaiah Chadwick, # 129729558
He lived in Carteret Co. in the Straights?
His wife was Thursey or Thirsa on SAR records.
Thanks :)

Thank you so very much for helping others through your work with Find A Grave. It especially means a lot to those of us who no longer can visit cemeteries due to age and health. I have been on my genealogy journey since the early 80's and am trying hard to get as much as I can of my family connections on Ancestry and Family Tree Maker so that my descendants and others connected can know their heritage. I hope you won't mind my making copies of your photos for my family files. May God bless you in your ongoing work with Find A Grave and helping others.

Mary Etta Shaw White
Thanks for your quick reply. I asked you because I was hoping you knew the answer. The person who created the memorial for Mary Etta Shaw's parents is deceased. Please let me know what I need to know about findagrave. I don't usually send a public message; I always make changes through the edit key. I wasn't requesting changes, just a simple answer.

I am a little confused. You have Mary Etta Elkins listed with half-siblings. I can't find anything in my records to show any other parents except Hattie Lennon Shaw Elkins and George D. Elkins for all the children listed as her siblings. If your information is different, please let me know. Hattie Lennon Shaw Elkins (30006140) created by Roslyn Phillips (deceased) shows only six of the 12 children, but George D. Elkins (30006110 - also Roslyn Phillips) shows all 12 children as his. Hattie Lennon Shaw Elkins was my grand aunt.

Haynes L. Campbell
Yes, I was too busy typing rather than thinking.

Haynes Linwood Campbell was a brother to Martha M. Campbell Carlyle. I did find her parents, but her father's middle name is shown as Lennon. Anyway, here are the links:

Father: Haynes Linwood Campbell 56883083
Mother: Addie Lou Maultsby 56883081

Fowler Cemetery

On your cemetery entry for the Fowler Cemetery, is is possible to clarify that this is the James G. and George Fowler Cemetery? There are a couple more in the immediate area with the same name. This change would clarify the difference.

Thanks for the info on Steven. It has been added. Were you related to the two boys/brothers?
My husband and I lost both of our only sons last year. It is still so very hard. I pray every day that God help me get stronger and able to deal with the daily pain. Thanks again for sending the information.

RE: Vanderbilt Long
That's fine :-) I would appreciate it greatly if you would please keep me posted. Are you related to Vanderbilt Long?

Also, last night I found there is another Vander B/Vanderbilt who was born in September 1891. Ours was born in 1893/1894. Both were born in the same area! Yikes! The one who was born in 1891 had a father named Roman, I think. I will go back to Ancestry and check again.

Again, thanks for your reply. I do appreciate it :-)

You already found what little I have on John Chapman Vandelinder here at findagrave. He is a collateral connection for me - his daughter married a brother of my ancestor. I did check the 1850 and 1860 census and confirm that said John did have a daughter Martha born about 1847. I think you found the right parents for your Martha Horton.

RE: Benson Marvin Justice Chadbourn Cemetery
Thank you for the photo . It means alot to our family. Several of our family members are unable to visit the graveyards in person. With Find A Grave, they are able to see the graves on line. We have some other family members that are buried there. I have put in photo requests for some of them. Could you get photos of them, the next time you go to Chadbourn Cemetery? Thank you for all your help.Keep up the good work.

RE: J. Carl Williamson
Hi Barry,

It is awesome that you do this service. I know so many people appreciate it. I am sure people who live really far away are really grateful when someone can give them some insight into their relative's history.

J. Carl's full name is Jasper Carlton Williamson. His first wife's name was Kathleen Randall Titus (Williamson). She lived from Sep. 4 1884 - Aug. 19 1913. She died in childbirth when she had my grandfather, Titus Carlton Williamson.

I know J. Carl went on to marry another woman and her name was Mary.

I will let you know if I find some pictures!!

Thanks again,
