|Lewie Dunn||Location of John Echols Grave?|
Do you have any idea of where John Echols c1736-c1826 Madison Co, AL is buried?
I have pieced together and located the cemetery where Lucy Annah Echols Williams is buried in Jasper Co, GA. The church minutes give Jan-Sept 1821 as her death. I strongly believe that she is buried in the Churchyard as the custom of the area at that time had already developed to bury folks in churchyards as opposed to family grave yards. Owning to the fact that the Creek Indians were just across the river and respected church cemeteries but not family ones.
As for Lucy Annah Moore Echols the church was founded in 1809 so she could very well be there too.
Thanks for your help. I am from Nathan & Lucy Williams son William Williams.

I searched the area surrounding Blanche's marker, per your photo request. There weren't others in the immediate area, except her husband, Jessie.

They are both buried in Hollan Cemetery. The actual headstone also states they were buried in Hollan Cemetery as well.......... Please refer to headstone photo and look for inscription box between their names. Hope this helps!

I came across one of the people you had listed and I am wondering how you may be related to this man. I am friends with the woman that he was married to when he passed away. She still lives in the house he had and she's 93. If you would like any info or to contact her, I would be happy to help.

Thank you for the additional information on Charles Herzberg Echols.
I added his middle name to his memorial, but his birth year could be either in 1881 or 1882, as both sources for both 1881 and 1882 were good sources.
I added your suggested information to his memorial right under the other source for his birth year, so those visiting his memorial will see that there is a question about his exact birth year.
Until Later.....God Bless,

? Neel Memorial #6230990. Supposedly this headstone is adjacent from Abner Neel's headstone(Find A Grave Memorial# 6230985) and may have read the initials EVH AP on it. This is all Matthew could tell me. The best bet is to get someone out there to look at it.
I left a message for Sally Miller who took the photo of Abner Neel's headstone to see if she is able to get out there.

I have transferred Alice's memorial over to you, as she is your direct relative. Let me know if you want any others. I am only 1/18 through photographing at Rosewood (it is huge!). There are a couple of other Echols I found so far, and posted. I'm not sure how they are related to you. I will keep you posted if I find any others. :)

Also, I forgot to tell you. John (second husband to Ruth Daniel # 126530199) is buried in Rosewood Cemetary, not Old Stone Prebyterian as is listed on the memorial.
