Griffith-Heron-McBride
Yes this is my family. They came from Montague, Arthur, Drayton area of Wellington Co. Ontario. They came as a group that included inter related families- Mitchell's, Rathwells, Astlefords.

If you are related via the McBride connection this was the second wife of Isaac Griffith. She is buried in Caron Sask. Not far from where Isaac homesteader. It is in a proper cemetery just across the #1 highway.

My family is from the third wife of Isaac - Rebecca Morrison. Her family were related to the Herons.

I talked with the town office and found the plot location for Leonard but the plot is unmarked. Leonard's plot is directly north of Edith Holtby Farr's plot.

Wondering if you are related to them? I know they are related to the Baker's and Rawn's and have some down my family tree so thought I would ask? My great grandmother was cousins to some and have some old pictures of some also.

Mary Wstervelt & Garret Westervelt
Hi:
I went to Brampton Pioneer Cemetery today. No hardstones remain for any members of the Westervelt family, except for the one for James Westervelt.
It appears that most families are buried closely together in the Brampton Pioneer Cemetery and there is a large space around the headstone for James. I suspect that area is where the Westervelts are buried.
I can add a picture of that area if you like.

Wray
Hi there, the Hotel Windsor is in a town called Cadillac, Saskatchewan- it's now defunct, as are most businesses it seems in that town. As for your Wray questions, had you asked me months ago I may have been able to answer them- I do not remember as it's been a while. I will possibly be going to that area again soon, if I do, I will try to take a look for your relatives wife.

RE: St. George's Courtyard
You're welcome. Did you notice on one of the Crowe death certificates, the informant was an Arnott?

I just had a brain wave - I may put off adding the rest of the photos that I took until winter. Unless there are some churchyard ones you want to see.

I remember seeing that name that you want - Sansom in the cemetery, but I had no reason to photograph it at the time.

RE: St. George's Courtyard
Oh, and it's a churchyard, not a courtyard. By the way, I photographed all but about 2 stones that were not readable. That pdf you found had a lot more people. Who knows where they are in the churchyard. I haven't added them all yet. I took about 300 photos on my trip.

RE: St. George's Courtyard
The proper name is St. George's Church. I used the apostrophe. Who ever set up the cemetery did not. You can avoid the ambiguity by searching for st george.

RE: Thomas Crowe
I misinterpreted the 38 years and 8 months on the stone as 33 years and 3 months. I did see his death certificate on Ancestry and wondered why there was a discrepancy between the certificate and the stone.

I think I mixed up my notes. I have corrected this one with help from Ancestry.com:

Ah, I see what you mean about Robert & 1879. The inscription that I copied from the book in the library said, "Robert Crowe 1879 age 4 weeks son of Dorothy Crowe". I can remove the parents' links.

RE: Crowe pictures
I'm going to create a new location for the churchyard. I spent an hour or so looking for Crowes that weren't in the graveyard. And I photographed about 25 stones in the churchyard.

I got the Crowe photos plus more. They were in the churchyard, not the graveyard. I added young Freddie to the graveyard. Will add them when I get home.

Ok, thanks. Too bad the map in the cemetery didn't have his grave location listed the day I was there. However, maybe someone else will come along and photograph it for you.

What section are they in? I think I found an old Crowe stone, but the sun was behind it. I'll go back in an afternoon. It was beside the newer Crowe stones.
