|Crys ||Memorial Transfer|
I am requesting the transfer of the memorials for:
Bessie Trettin (#89869921
Carl L Trettin (#89869938
Donald L Trettin (#89870245)
This is the sister and her husband and son of my
maternal Grandmother. I realize this is not a direct relationship, however, they are family and families belong together. I would love to manage these memorials and I will be happy to transfer the memorials, in the future, if someone with a direct relationship requests it.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

You posted a photo of the Jane Schook Rogers tombstone in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Baileys Harbor, WI. I was unable to find this tombstone when I searched the cemetery. Can you give me some idea of where it is located in relation to the main entrance? Thank you!

Hi. I wonder if I could ask one more favor of you...I see that you added Amanda's husband's gravestone photo. Thanks. From your photo it looks like it's one stone but with sides. But I can't figure out what Robert's side says. By going back and checking a distant cousin's genealogy I found out that he was buried next to Amanda and more about how he got to the US. So I know he was born near Stoke-on-Trent UK and died in Galien, Michigan. But I'm really curious if there's an epitaph on the stone.

Do you know whose headstone your photos for Schram # 124317736 and # 49996947 are affixed to? They look like they are both on headstones shared with someone else. I strongly suspect they are the brothers of another man in the same cemetery. Thanks for posting the images.

Thanks but I don't think I've done enough research yet. I know that she had 6 children plus the one on the tombstone. I've tracked her and her husband through the census but that's about it. Though I did also find the marriage in Illinois records. Her maiden name was Hill and she moved with her family and husband to Juneau County very early, they are on the list of early settlers. With the six children and all her Hill siblings, it would seem that she has hundreds of relatives in the area. Hopefully one of them will search through local records and find more info. I have lots of info about her daughter Alpharetta (aka Etta) who moved to Long Island and had 6 children (who survived childhood) herself. Etta was my great grandmother. Amanda's husband is one of my other research projects, it seems he came to the US from England alone at age 1 and became a farm hand to the Hill family. Some day I'm going to find out why!

I want to thank you for posting this. I was so confused as to what happened to her after looking at the censuses. But then I was confused as to what happened to her from 1869 to 1889. Finally found record of her death which was actually in 1869. I understand the confusion based on the picture. But would you mind correcting her record here? She actually did die in 1869. She was one of my ggrandmothers. From everything I've been able to find about her life, and that of her husband, I do admire them so. Further, to find that her stone says that "she made home happy" is an amazing, touching tribute. I think we could all wish that our families would make such a tribute to us. Thank you so much, this picture has meant so much to me.

There is an inscription on Daisy Mayoleth stone that i wrote down MANY years ago
A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in our lives
Which never can be filled.

True. I have a strong interest in Kingsley ancestors. My mother was a Kingsley and I was very close to my grandmother. Thank you so much for taking the pictures!
