I also took a fairly good look for Robert Kessler, since the Kesslers and Turleys (a family I'm working on) were related. No luck yet.

I am curious how well you know Pine Eden Cemetery and if you are able to find an interment there? I am looking for a couple of people that should be here, but they have not been entered on Find A Grave yet.

Not much more than what I had for Mary Mallard ...
1880 Census indicates that Jefferson V Mallard was:
- Born in North Carolina (as well as his parents) around 1822.
- Occupation: Blacksmith
- Lived in Brooklyn, Massac, IL
- Following were listed in the household:
Mary V. Mallard (age 48), Charley A. Mallard (age 14), Emma B. Mallard (age 11), Ann Netta Mallard (age 10), and Harriet E. Mallard (age 7)
1870 Census indicates that J. V. Mallard was:
- Born in NC around 1824
- Lived in Massac County, IL
- Following were listed in the household:
Mary Mallard (age 38), Charles A Mallard (age 3), Emma B Mallard (age 1), Elizabeth Halterman (age 23), Adam Edwards (age 60), William N. Townsley (age 17), Joseph Townsley (age 15)
1860 Census indicates that Jefferson B Mallard:
- same DOB and POB listed as above
- Lived in Newtown, Livingston, IL
- Following were listed in the household: Frances E Mallard (age 27), Mary J Mallard (age 4), Samuel Jennings (age 30)
Unfortunately, that was all I could find on Jefferson. Good luck in your search.

For Mary Mallard,
1870 & 1880 Census from Massac County, IL indicate that she was:
~born abt 1832 in Alabama
~both of her parents were also born in Alabama
That is all I was able to find.

Thanks for the response.
I believe I was asking you if you would put a "NOTE" on Jason to reference Amanda. I could not find anything online to possibly explain relationship.
Or " I can " just transfer to you if you would like. They are not related to my family. Let me know either way.

Don't worry about it. I am hoping to get out that way in the next couple of years to visit the cemeteries for myself and to do some research. However, if you do happen to be in the area and it would not be too much trouble, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much!!!

Hi, I was wondering if you could do me a huge favor. You took a photo of this gravestone in Pine Eden. I realize it is badly worn, but I was wondering if you would mind, sometime when you are in that area, if you could stop by and see if you can read the dates, I would greatly appreciate it. I am not sure whether or not they are possible to read.
I believe There are actually 4 names inscribed on their headstone:
Alva and Amy and two of their children.

I am requesting the transfer of the memorials for:
Bessie Trettin (#89869921

Thank you for your time and consideration.

You posted a photo of the Jane Schook Rogers tombstone in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Baileys Harbor, WI. I was unable to find this tombstone when I searched the cemetery. Can you give me some idea of where it is located in relation to the main entrance? Thank you!
