Photo requests for St. Pats, Bay City
I was unable to fill these requests because the office lady is very unhelpful about locating graves. She hates a list so I have found it easiest for the individual who is requesting the photo to find out the location. I have an index of existing tombstones that some nice ladies did for the Bay County GENWEB but that's for the old St. Pats where most burials are from the early 1900s. Sorry!

RE: Grannis
Appears someone duplicated my earlier entry for Minnie. It is common for people to duplicate others without checking first to see if they are already listed. It is frustrating!

Larry

I deleted my entry.

RE: Hickey
Oh man, I just saw that I posted a sideways photo! I will fix that when I get home tonight. I thought I fixed that already.

There are no names, inscriptions, dates, or anything else on that stone. It seems to be a common practice at that cemetery during that time frame, especially if there are multiple people or families in one plot. And there are tons and tons (about 40,000 people) that died in 1919 due to the Spanish flu. She may have died from that as well?

Wilhemina "Minnie" Grannis
I could not put a picture on that memorial because it is a duplicate. It also has the birth year incorrect. The stone says 1863 not 5.
The other memorial was made first.
Sorry I could not help with the picture on the memorial you requested. You can see it on the first memorial.

Billie Cambridge
Hello. Billie is buried at the foot of Jimmie Cambridge Wilcox 4/3/27 - 4/17/79. Jimmie does have a headstone, but does not have a memorial page. I can certainly send you a pic of this headstone if you'd like. Just let me know.

Lizzie Williams
I looked at Mt. View today for a headstone for Lizzie Williams. I did not find one. I called Mt. View to be sure I hadn't overlooked it...they have a record of those who have headstones. No one in her lot has a headstone. I took a couple of pictures, just guessing where the lot might be.
My camera battery went dead but I think I have 2 pictures of the general area. If you will write to me, I will email you the pics and you can either post them or not post them as you see fit.
I relinquish copy-rite on them. JPK.

Photo request
Hello -
I have contacted Calvary Cemetery to try to find the location of Alphonse and Helena so I can get their photos for you. They have no record of their burials. Please verify their burial location and I will be happy to fulfill this request.
Thank you

Lizzie Williams
Lizzie is buried in Block 11, Lot 56, grave 3 East.
That block, starting c. 1940 was used for county burials and low income families. Few headstones exist in the area, making it hard to located a burial site. I will look, however.
Montgomerysteward.com has an index to burials.Look under Genealogy.
pueblolibrary.org has an index to obits that appeared in the Chieftain. Under search on the home page, click on obit index. Put in surname, given name. Click the appropriate hit. A page will appear and on that page you can request a free digital copy of the obit. May take 2 weeks as microfilm has to be read.

I would like to pick up your photo request but Sparkman Hillcrest (SH) will not provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed in order for requests to be filled. The volunteers will need you to call SH and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. Once you have the location, please add it to your request. Thanks.

Norbert's stone
You are very welcome. I used to live in Hoisington. Live in Eagle, NE now and had a funeral to conduct in Garfield, so I checked to see if there was an excuse to stop in Hoisington besides the hamburgers at DQ. Checked findagrave and found your request. Took some other photos, but all I could post was Joe Lane, my postman for 21 years.

I thought I had found Edgar Rome's stone in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays, KS . . .however, I found Elmer instead and posted it to Edgar's memorial page before I realized my error. I deleted the photo but your request is now gone. I'm sorry. You'll need to request the photo again if possible.

Sorry!
