Best I can figure out...your Grandpa and My Grandma were sister and Brother.

Would love to connect. I would love to learn more about this link in my family tree.

Samuel "Tifft" Tefft
Dear Ms Tanner,

I am a descendant of John Tefft (8th g-grandson). We inherited our Tefft family information from a great aunt so am not sure where it came from and we have not done much research on our Tefft lineage. I was in Newport Rhode Island this spring looking for Whitehorn(e)s and did see many Tefft/Tifft gravestones in the cemetery.

John Tefft's 3rd g-granddaughter, Lucretia Tefft (ca 1776-1820) married Clark Whitehorne (1773/1774-1860) on 01 March 1796 in South Kingston RI. Lucretia's lineage back to John is; Daniel Tefft (1743-1818), Stephen Tefft (1716-1782), Samuel Tefft (1685-1860), Samuel Tefft (1643/1644-1724), John Tefft (1614/1615-1679).

Is all of the Tefft information you have at the Find A Grave memorial for Samuel "Tifft" Tefft (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=84746791)? Anything additional you can tell me about the Tefft/Tifft family and sources would be appreciated.

Please contact me directly at ourclandna@inbox.com

Respectfully,
Ken Whitehorn

Kelly Thomas
Elizabeth Washington Lanier
Hello Tammy J Tanner & Thank You for your generous service ... please review your documentation regarding the marriage of Elizabeth Washington (daughter of Richard Washington & Elizabeth Jordan), according to the only information that I have been able to locate on her, she married only once to Sampson Lanier, not Thomas Lanier. Can you either email me or else post here where you found the documentation to support a marriage to Thomas Lanier?
I have attached a link that may be of use to you regarding the Washington / Lanier research:

http://books.google.com/books?id=jNcUAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA60&lpg=PA60&dq=%22Elizabeth+Washington+Lanier%22&source=bl&ots=4HuB1DDkvw&sig=ud9gHvR_Ou4OvHUv5ddTzSz7SV4&hl=en&sa=X&ei=7hZBVL7wNuaR8gGi44CADA&ved=0CE0Q6AEwBw#v=onepage&q=%22Elizabeth%20Washington%20Lanier%22&f=false

If you learn that your posting is in error, please remember to make the necessary correction, to keep others from re-posting the same error.

Thanking You Again for your generous service,
