You entered memorials in the Pippin cemetery in Clay county:
Do you remember where you got that info? I'm trying to find the cemetery, but I don't find anything on it. I do find a Pipkin, tho.

Becca: Looks like Charlie, Jennie, Maggie, and Anna Espy must have been in Columbus visiting their sister, Maidie Kelly. When I read this article I thought about the fact that Anna (Annie) died just four months later in Dec. Wonder what it was. I note the obit says from an "illness of several months." Interesting. And, even though my grandmother (named Anna, too) knew that T. J.'s wife, Letie Teague, died of tuberculosis,I never remember her mentioning what Anna died of. There are so many more things I could ask her or my great aunts now!! On the picture (copy) of the inside of the store is written. "Thomas Jefferson Whatley and Thomas Alexander Edwards - Uncle & nephew." You know it is tough when everyone in the Farmer & Whatley families have the same names! We have Thomas Jefferson Whatley and Thomas Jefferson Farmer. We have Charlie B. Farmer and Charlie B. Whatley; we have Anna Farmer and Anna Whatley and Maggie Farmer and Maggie Whatley and the list goes on and on! Just something interesting - There are 14 Rhydonias in the Whatley/Farmer families including my ggrandmother, great aunt and my mother. I asked my mama one time why she didn't name me Rhydonia. She said that she would never name a child that. She said that name had been a burden to her all her life! Nobody can spell it or pronounce it! And she was stuck with the nickname of "Rye Bread" when she was a child! My mama was actually called Rhy. My ggrandmother was called Doney. And, what is funny is that the name is still going on - my niece had her baby girl in September and her name is London Rhy! Now, my daughter, whose baby girl was also born in Sept. this year gave her daughter the middle name of Elizabeth which also runs rampant in this family!

RE: APRIL 13 1894
So, you did get to read my email that I sent today? When I got back that "Hello, I'm out of the office" email back, I wondered if you would be able to pull it up. Please, please scan anything you feel is conected to my family. I have none of those "dashes" you sent today. I have some things from many years ago that I either copied out of books or someone else sent me and it would be like - "death of so and so on such and such date." None of the good stuff like Annie studying art and music or T.J.'s horse running away! I think scanners would win for the top invention!!! I wonder if the picture I have of the inside of a store is of T. J.'s. I think there is something written on the picture. I will have to pull out and look. Funny, how merchants seem to run in this family! How is the research going on Larry? When you get home, you will have to send me a long email about all you are accomplishing on this trip. Be safe and scan away!! Love ya!
