|Sheila Adkins Burks||Photo Request for John & Mary Adams|
Hi, I have just gotten a copy of the new Lucasville Cemetery Directory and I checked for John & Mary Adams's name and they not listed. It was done by the Lucasville Historical Society with help from Tom Adkins work in 1999 when they walked the cemetery. It has been updated to this year. However there may be no stone to read. The sextant for the cemetery is in his 80's and says that some records of burial in the early years are lost. His record books are in bad shape due to age of the books. Hope this will help let you know why your request for a photo has not been answered.

You requested a photo for Memorial #97160152. Please notice that the memorial is a duplicate of Memorial# 8921164 which was created several years earlier. I recently added a photo to the older memorial and suggested to the creator of the more recent memorial that she delete it because it is a duplicate.

Hello Andy- Photo taken for Mary. I did not see a marker for her husband (not near her). He could be in a different section, it is a very big cemetery. Peggy

You are most welcome. It was interesting because it was not a familiar name to me.
When I told Mom I needed to find the grave, if it was even at Bethesda, Mom knew right away where it was. We really should pay more attention to people who our parents talk about.
Just today we had a Skime reunion. Among the pictures was one of a baseball team from Skime with your great grandfather pictured. Have you seen it? If not perhaps I could post a copy of it here.

|Edward Komm, Jr||Re listing for Wallace (mispelled) Trimble|
The Find-a-Grave listing for Wallace Trimble is mispelled (Wallce). I have attempted a correction, but you might have to do it as originator of current listing. We have additional information for Wallace that we would like to add soon. His wife, who remarried after Wallace was KIA at Tarawa, is actually buried next to him. Jessie Hunter was her remarried name. I have sent you personal email at your listed address. Thanks for listing Wallace in the Find-a-Grave. On behalf of all of Wallace's cousins, thanks. |Steve Bench||Elizabeth Lea|
Thanks for adding a memorial for Elizabeth Lea. Just a couple of weeks ago I was looking for her and could not find her although I was pretty sure she was buried at Chapel. I have just submitted edits to link her with her husband and her mother and have submitted edits to her children's Memorials to link them with her. She is my ggg-grandfather's (Logan Hargis) sister. Logan is the father of George Hargis who gave the land for Union Chapel Cemetery out of the SW corner of his 40 acre land patent. George was a baptist minister. Elizabeth's mother Ester (Kinser) Hargis is buried at Panther Valley Cemetery in Webster County and came here with her children in about 1846. I live in Springfield and am related to most of the people buried at Union Chapel. I have four pairs of gg-grandparents buried there as well as two pairs of g-grandparents and one ggg-grandparent.

Can u please tell me if there is a Margaret (Mattie) Hughes True is buried in this cemetery, the Portageville Cemetery? Her brothers John Martin Hughes, and Andrew Robert are buried there.
