Hi Patti

You're welcome. I phoned the cemetery to get a map to find the precise spot as it's HUGE!! :) Apologies for the delay; I did go to this cemetery before and realised at the time that I was going to need a map for your memorial as I could have spent a week without finding it otherwise :) then winter overtook me so I've been waiting for some better weather to be able to get out and catch up on some photo requests.

Best wishes
Jacqui

Someone must have requested that link - back when I didn't note the edit with the person's Find A Grave member number. If it's wrong I will be happy to remove it. I am not related. Kimberly

Richard does not have a stone. I have a picture to upload but I was having a problem. I may have to get another one.
Also, he is not with Edna, they are in different sections. According to the cemetery, Richard is with an Elizabeth 1/27/20, a Robert 1/7/31, and it looks like two infants 6/15/25 and 9/5/31.
I will get another picture soon.

No, I do not know his parent's names. Also, I don't live near the cemetery in PA; I live in Southern California.

Sorry, I can't be of further help.

I am happy to take photos but many graves don't have headstones e.g. common graves. I need the grave section, number, and religious denomination i.e. at Philips Park there are RC, Consecrated (Church of England,) and non-consecrated (non-conformist). Mike

Baby Brother.
Hi Patti. I have added the photos of your brother's grave, one looking north and one south. In the caption, I have explained where his grave is located.

For your information, this cemetery will let you buy a headstone from an "outside" vendor as long as it conforms to their standards. Check online before you buy, if you decide to get one. You can save a ton of money, but just make sure of the "thickness" of the marker, as there are budget headstones to be found, but if they aren't thick enough, they crack when heavy machinery drives over them.

Thank you for telling me about your brother, and allowing me to be of service to you.

Take care,
Bonnie

Hi Patti. You're welcome. You not alone when it comes to finding out stuff you were never told! My great-grandmother (my mom's maternal grandmother) was married twice and I was not told about the first one. I don't know why families of that generation kept things like that quiet. So my great-uncle Harry was my grandmother's half-brother, so what?

Anyway, you can just send me a message with the plot info on your baby brother. It is sometimes hard to claim photo requests at that cemetery as we currently have many active photo volunteers. I live here, so that cemetery is not only my favorite, it is the one where I have purchased my own preneed mausoleum crypt. I know the Lake Plot very well. It is one of the most desireable areas in that cemetery.

So, let me know what you find out.

Best Regards,
Bonnie

Hello Patricia. I am going to have to fulfill your photo request with only a photo of the area, showing the location where your great grandfather is buried. Unfortunately, I could not find a headstone in the location it was supposed to be ("J" Plot, lot 2032). If you enlarge the photo, you will see a little cement marker with number on it at the bottom of the photo. The numbers in "J" Plot are located at the foot of each individual grave. The name on the grave directly below John's is MacKinnon. There are unmarked graves on either side of John's. Unfortunately, there are a lot of unmarked graves in "J" Plot.

There is a remote possibility that there is a marker and it is buried beneath the thick sod. If you want, you can call or e-mail the cemetery and ask them to confirm. If they tell you there is one, please explain that a volunteer showed you a photo, etc. and then let me know. I will go back and have them dig it out. But chances are, there is not a marker.

I am sorry this was not a more positive outcome.

Sincerely,
Bonnie
