Jason Babcock, memorial # 57717089
I posted new pics to Jason's and his wife's memorials but didn't see that you wanted them sent to your e-mail until after I deleted them. You can download them off of Find A Grave and use them as you wish. If you have trouble doing this, let me know and I will download them again and send them to you.

I wanted to let you know I did find a headstone for Jason, husband of Mary Randall in the Reynold's Cemetery in Petersburgh, NY. Your photo request is over 2yrs old...probably the reason for this is his headstone was buried. I could tell there must of been something under the grass so I pulled up the grass with my bare hands and tried to dig around it but it has been under ground so long, it was not an easy task. The pics aren't that great because of this but it's better than nothing, I guess...
Have a great day!

Germond in Washington Hollow Cemetery
I went out today and looked for the people you requested, unfortunately I did not find the ones you asked for, but I did find some more Germonds that were not in the database and will be adding them over the next few days if you want to take a look.

RE: Washington Hollow Cem., Dutchess Co, NY
Hello John,

I do not live in Dutchess County, New York, so unfortunately I can not be of any help to you at this time. My husband charlie, who passed away Easter Sunday, April 24th 2011 and I, traveled to the many cemeteries where we have family buried, when we went on vacation each year, but since his passing, I have not gotten back to Dutchess County. The offer for gas money is kind but, I do this work, as a result of 45+ years of devotion to family history and I enjoy helping others. Not to mention, it's about 250 miles from where I live. I do wish you the best in your endeavors and hope someone will claim them soon for you.

The Best to You and Yours, Butterfly~kisses

Emeline Baxter
John,
O.K. Lets see if i can answer your questions for you.First, I did visit the Baxter Cem. today. It is in such bad shape. I didn't find a headstone for Emeline. But i can tell you it is about a mile away from where the family was living in 1870.
The Baxter Cemetery is just outside of alma in Kibler Ark. That is on Hwy 162.
John R. Baxter is buried in Louisville Kentuckey. At the Cave Hill National Cem. Sec.B Site 1498. I have put a photo request out for this. He was a PVT. US ARMY CIVIL WAR.
You asked why i asked about Lucinda, In 1870 Bryant Baxter was listed in her home. Then i found Pention Records Recorded here for John R. Baxter listing Emeline as the widow and Lucinda as a minor. How cool is that???? I did get a copy of this for you but will have to get your e mail address to send it to you.
Now because i love digging in the past, I have other info on Lucinda's family if you want it. Also i have Parents and Grandparents for John And Emeline if you want that.
I'm not giving up on Emeline!!

Emeline Baxter
John,
I just want you to know i haven't given up on your Emeline. I did find where John R. Baxter was buried in Kent. They had a son named Bryant that shows up in 1870 in the Richland Community in Ark. That is between Alma and Kibler. I keep being drawn to the old Baxter Cemetery in Kibler. Do you know of a James Baxter? He was a CPT. in the civil war. He is the one that gave the land for the cementery. Now it has been abandoned for years. I have a Great Grand Mother there that i still cant find. I think i am going to go out there today just to see what i can find. Who is Lucinda Stites? Was that a Daughter??

John, Like wise here, if I do stumble across anything of interest I'll let you know. I have found that records aren't always right also, like the middle initial, it has G. now somebody writing it down, an E could of sounded like G! Luella

RE: Charles Barnes follow up
John, That is all the info it had for Charles, was he died Mar. 9, 1909 age 51 years, 9 months and 24 days. No relatives only the owner of the lot, no date of burial. No cause of death or where he was living. That is why I thought maybe he wasn't living here at the time of his death. Maybe somewhere in one of the papers it might tell of his death, but no obit. They do that a lot of times, just someone has received word of the death of a relative. I never read all the papers, there was someone waiting to use the machine. Takes a long time to go though with a fine tooth comb, but may run across something yet. Luella

Emeline Baxter
John,
You photo request caught my eye, You had it attached to Mary Andrews who just happens to be my Grandmother.
I do live in Alma and would love to help you find your ancestor. I have a book for Crawford co. Ark called history in headstones, It lists all cemetery and headstones around. I don't find an Emeline in there. There is a Baxter cem. in Kibler just out side of Alma but it is in Bad shape.
If you can give me a little more info i would love to help. Do you have names of parents, husband or children?? Just let me know.

RE: Charles Barnes follow up
John, Not sure, but think that was suppose to be death date. Do you know how to figure to the date when it gives the age? I get a bit off because of the leap year deal, but his age was 51 years, 9 months and 24 days. So if his birth day is correct, you can add that to it and get the death day. 1857 and 51 is 1908, plus 9 months is Feb. 1909, but when you add 13 for his day of birth and the 24 days of his age, it is 37. So then I don't know how many to subtract to find the exact day! I get lost at that point! Luella

RE: Charles Barnes follow up
John, That was what I'd been afraid of would happen, because the records I looked at last is the copies of the cemetery book, where the give the cause of death, relatives, dates etc. The only info they had was what I sent, no cause or place etc. I will try again for the obit, sometimes it isn't in for more then a month, could of just missed it, but the library has a pretty good record of obits, and his wasn't listed there either. It's a long shot, I think he died elsewhere and was just buried here. I saw a Ruth Ann (Barnes) Cox married Elihu Cox in 1866, there was also a Mabel Barnes of Table Rock visiting relataives in Pawnee City, I wonder if he had sisters here maybe. Do you want me to delete thos photos from his site now, or some of them? Luella

RE: Charles Barnes follow up
John, From the information I have at hand, I spent the afternoon looking for who might be next to Charles. Chas. HH 2-15-2
Scott Caswell HH 2-15-3
Sarah Caswell HH 2-15-4
I never found a #1, I was thinking there were two ladies by them, a Killham & Sedam. I thought I had photos of them all, but not sure. I know the one lady wasn't listed on the directory, so don't know her plot #. The front was pretty well filled up, but thought Cha. might be on the back half of those lots by Alfred. That was where there seemed to be a gap. Those are small plots, the ones I'm familiar with have 8 graves to each plot, 1,2,3,4,
5,6,7,8, I haven't seen the actual way these are laid out. Just west of these small ones are HUGE plots. That's why I'd like to go to the city hall and see how they're put together. The Neill family are in HH 2-14-1 thru 6.

John, I just rechecked our letters, :) it was Charles I never found before also, was thinking it was another family member! I get to going on so many projects I don't remember which is which! One never knows what the next day will bring, have to make the most of each! Now I'm scanning photos to add to family sites, finally got that to work! Love the old photos and adds so much to the site! Luella

John, I never found a stone, but was hoping I could check it out closer and figure out for sure who he would be next to. I also wanted to check in another book at the library to see if he was listed there. My brother is having check-ups etc. so not a lot of spare time. Wasn't there another Neill there was not stone for? Somebody I remember in that area had no stone also, there is a space near with no stones, but west of the rest. Wanted to check at City Hall also, they should have records. Luella

RE: Neill Family
John, Some bad news, I never found anything for Charles Barnes, no obit or any other record I could find, never found a gravestone. Not sure why I never found him in the original cemetery records of deaths, I will keep looking, may have just overlooked him some way. Had some good news, I found that Mary J. in Humboldt was David W. Neill's wife! Also found he married Veda at Humboldt, I've added the info to the site. I thought I'd find Mary "Ella" Neill Gould, but never. Also looked for Robinson & never found her. Luella

RE: Neill Family
John, I went to the library today, never found an obit, but that doesn't mean there isn't one! The lst of one roll was 2 days after his death and the beginning of another was for Mar.18, so I did that one & into Apr. This is the Republican, and might of been The Pawnee Cheif? also. "D.W. Neill was a business visitor in Lincoln the first of the week." "Charles Cameron who died at his home in Kansas City Wed. of last week, was buried at the Pawnee City cemetery Fri. afternoon. Mr Cameron was a brother-in-law of D.W. & George Neill." both from Mar. 18th. Of course all is interesting to me! Also the fact he was called D.W. Neill, so thinking that might be a wife of his that is buried in Humboldt. Oh, I asked at the library and they will do look-ups there, I don't know what the fee is.You can find it on line, Pawnee City Carnegie Library. Luella

Neill Family
I was at the Humboldt cemetery today and found a Mary J. Neill, born Dec. 15, 1869 & died Jul. 19, 1897. Wife of D.W. Neill. Could David W. have been married before Veda? Was just wondering if there was a connection, she wasn't listed and she is the only one there that I know of.

John, I checked my book and have Charles as born May 13, 1857 and died Mar. 9, 1909. He is in the Hazel Hill section close to the Neills. I'm not sure there is a stone, will try to remember to look! Luella

John, There is only one Barnes at Pawnee, it had him as Charles G. Barnes. I never checked his lot # to see if he is by any of the other family. This just could be him, will have to investigate! Luella

John I looked for Nancy Butler while at Whitehall but didn'f find it readily readable. Will have to go back again with my trusty can of shaving cream. There are many that are so black they just can't be read, but I'll see what I can do.

John, I found some of my notes from the library on the Story family. You were right it was Florence E. I took photos of the stone with the family on it and have added them to their sites. Talking about mistakes, note the death year for Florence. She was very young when she had these children. I was researching the family awhile back so I could link families. :)
Happy Holidays to you and yours! Luella

RE: Mary Ann (Butler) Neill
John, The headstone photo has been added, I did that right away, I can't add it under her husbands request, so you can delete that. You're doing a great job, Find A Grave is a very good site! Also since you're new to the site, if you go to the cemetery site and just type in "Butler" all the Butler in the cemetery will be listed, it makes it easier to find them that way. Or type in Neill and all of them will come up. That way you can see all that are listed and expand that to county , state or all Find A Grave! It seems like the mother's side is usually neglected, but not me, every branch on the family tree! :) Good luck, if there is anything I can help with, ask. Luella

RE: Mary Ann (Butler) Neill
John, I see you have someone that is helping on the IN cemeteries, this is great, they can link that part of the family! I had sent some of your info and she put it on immediately, but gave me the credit, I told her it came from you & haven't got a chance to she if she put that on! Now for the Pawnee Cemetery, I have added the Butler that are listed there. Hopefully if more of George W. & Nancy (Christy) Butler' children moved to NE we can link them also. :) I added the cemetery plots, so can kind of tell which families go together. p.s. For your grandsons, add as many photos of the people that you can, it makes it much more interesting then just lists of names & dates! You are so nice to be working on this for them, it will be a family treasure! Luella
