RE: Family linkage of Troutman
Irish-sh, As I'm a County Kerry Irish
descendant to through my O'Connells,
whom migrated to Connecticut in the
1840s. Other relatives from England,
Bavaria (Bayer/Germany), Bohemia,
and Switzerland like Butlers, Beals,
Beards, Bruggers/Brookers, Barwins,
Holzbauers, Kohls, and more. Our
Hiram Troutman in Georgia, by way
of short stay in South Carolina, his
parents, John & Joanna Troutman,
both dead by 1819, buried, but lost
in/or around Milledgeville, or maybe
moved to a Macon Cemetery by son,
Hiram. It's like the whereabouts of
John Michael Troutman and his two
wives, Rebecca Beard (said to be
buried in Maryland) and Elizabeth
Schroeder (later a 'Hill'), She was
born 30 Oct 1758 in Frederick Co.,
MD, and died 05 Dec 1821 in....
Shepherdsville, Bullitt Co., KY.
I've always understood that Capt.
John Michael Troutman (DAR) was
said to have executed and registered
His Last Will & Testament on 13
April 1814 (as recorded in the
research materials of The Filson
Club (of Louisville, Kentucky) and
Kentucky Records with many other
Troutman Family Histories) mentioning
every one of his living family members,
and relations even those in South
Carolina, Georgia, and other locations,
his death was said to have been
on 18 June 1814, believe this as
fact, but no one is sure where he
was finally buried, said to be on
one of his family farms, in a hillside
cemetery/or one of his many properties
in neighboring counties. Would really
like to find some documentation as to
what did transpire and what became
of the site. Know there seems to
have been much litigation of the
Will for many years after his 1814
death. Cousin, descendant of Captain
John Michael Troutman through
my late Grandmother Mabel Gladys
Troutman Holzbauer, #42894046

RE: Family linkage of Troutman
Well, Sherri (Irish-ish), did find while
searching Genealogybank.com, finally,
for the facts the Troutmans were
buried in Milledgeville, which cemetery,
unknown, or whether their stones still
stand on their plots, but John Troutman,
born :September 11, 1763 in Frederick
County, MD Died on September 28, 1819
in Milledgeville, Baldwin Co., GA.
Newspaper from Wednesday, October 27,
1819, Springfield, Massachustts mentions
John Troutman's death from October 8th,
Mount Zion. On Wednesday, night of last
week, Captain John Troutman,a widower,
was most inhumanly murdered in the vicinity
of Milledegville, Georgia. Unknown person
or persons shot him while he was a sleep.
He was found dead in his bed the next
morning.
The Federalist & Journal. Springfield,
Massachusetts, Wednesday Evening,
October 27, 1819, like a number of
newspapers reported the same.
His wife, Joanna Troutman (born Bainbridge)
had died earlier (b. 1764 - d. 24 Mar 1818).
No mention in later newspapers of burial.
I had taken a side trip to Milledgeville on
a family trip to Florida in 1992 to scout
for them. No information was available
from any other sources in Historical
records. Maybe somebody else has some
leads to Milledgeville!

RE: Family linkage of Troutman
Irish-ish, Long John Michael Troutman fanily
history. Searching for those Troutmans into
Georgia (Millidregville) for some time. Haven't
found John and Joanna Bainbridge Troutman
other then Joanna Ellis Troutman Pope Vinson
(now buried in Texas). Hiram Bainbridge Troutman's
grandparents were John Michael Troutman (buried
in Kentucky) and his 1st wife, Rebecca Baird/
Beard Troutman (buried in Maryland), but these
graves haven't been located to date. Keeping
on searching to be uncovered/located one day.

Family linkage of Troutman
Irish-ish, As you noted on the Memorial for
Hiram A. Troutman who was killed when thrown
from a horse.
Would you link Hiram parents, Colonel Hiram
Bainbridge Troutman (8-24-1797: 1880?) and
Balsora Ellis Troutman, with his sister, Joanna
Ellis Troutman, who achieved undying fame in
designing and making the Lone Star Flag of
Texas. Her Find A Grave Memorial is #16454514.

RE: Carolina Aultman
I checked Bibb County marriages on the Georgia Archives website today. Couldn't find the record but some are hard to read. Will check again later. Sometimes I go to the actual books and look for dates and find them. Did you see the obit for Caroline McGee Aultman posted on the Riverside site? Short - doesn't mention husbands or son. Hope I have correct W.R. Aultman. I have nickname "Buck" and parents William "Buck" Aultman Sr and Mary Rowland. Any of this sound familiar? I'll keep searching and let you know if I find more. I'll look for Gun on the Aultman side. Thanks!

RE: Carolina Aultman
Sherrie,
So glad we found her! Her marker photo is posted on memorial 133262375. This was added by Kelby. I have communicated with her and the other markers in this plot that she photographed are Leila Aultman Eden (daughter with W R Aultman), Clarence A Eden (son-in-law), and 3 children of Leila (Olive, Leila and Cynthia). Not sure but dont think she is related. I'm sure she would post the marker photo to your memorial. My line is through the Aultmans. I have not been able to find what happened to W R Aultman. Searched for marriage record for them but cannot find that either. Do you know what county they were married? I searched Crawford but nothing. W R Aultman's father was my 3rd g-grandfather's brother. My 3rd great-grandfather, Hiram Aultman, died in WBTS. She and W R also had a son, Ulyses Aultman. I found a Ulyses Aultman who died in California 18 Nov 1913, born in GA, 45 y/o. Matches with this Ulyses but no proof - yet! This is Ulyses Gun Aultman. Do you know of any significance of the Gun middle name that would connect? So - a successful collaboration! Yeah!

RE: Charles Kelsey
That's very interesting about your grandmother marrying Miller Burnette. I didn't know that he had been married four times. I only knew about two.

Thanks for the info on the McGees in the photo I mentioned. About a photo of Irene Elizabeth Kelsey Burnett, I recently received one of her from a third cousin of ours that I understand you know well - Cheryl. I know she would be glad to send you a copy. If you would like to email me in the future, my email address is on my profile page.

RE: Charles Kelsey
Hi Sherrie'. Lillie's sister, Irene Elizabeth Kelsey Burnett, was my Great Grandmother, so that does make us third cousins. Irene's oldest child, Irene Elizabeth Burnett Perkins, was my grandmother. This Georgia girl married a Texas boy (John Lester Perkins) and she returned with him to Texas and they lived there the remainder of their lives and raised eight children. All of the above family members are linked together in Findagrave except the one remaining son of Irene Perkins who is still living. I have a photo of your Lillie and J.S. McGee and three of their children and a fourth (unrelated?) child. Lillie was very pretty. It is so nice to meet you via Findagrave! -Jennifer

Thanks so much, Sherrie. You said Uncle Charlie - are you related to him? If so, we must be related too. He was my great grand uncle, but I only learned about him recently from another Kelsey relative that I met through Findagrave. I love your id, by the way. -Jennifer

You're welcome (about sponsoring this memorial). Could you please check your Edits button on your profile page - I submitted an edit request for this memorial on Aug. 11 that hasn't been done yet. Her maiden name Napier is currently in her Middle Name field but should be moved to her Maiden Name field. If Napier is not in her maiden name field, then searches on the Napier surname will not find her. Thanks. -Jennifer

Dora Marsh Hatcher is my GG Aunt. She is the sister of James Edward Marsh(61847917) and the daughter of Andrew Jackson Marsh (30618818). This is my Great Grandfather and GG Grandfather, both of whom are buried at Mt Pleasant Cemetery. My question is how did you determine that Dora and Robert Hatcher are buried in this cemetery. I know the plots in the picture are surrounded with coping that indicate Hatcher, but where did you get this information from since there are no headstones.
