Like so many early cemeteries it ended up a tiny parsal of land inside someone's cow pasture. You need to contact Daniel and Alice Beach 812-689-5853 to get permission to drive back throught their cow pasture to the clump of trees that is the cemetery. John and Mary Jane's stones are not recognizable. Only pieces remain.
John and Mary are my gr-gr-grandparents. Their son James is my gr-grandpa, an his son Theodore is my grandpa.Theodore changed the spelling of Loyd to Lloyd and that is why my maiden name is spelled with two l's. They are all buried in East Hill in Rushville.
I have more pictures of the cemetery and John and Mary's Wedding registry if you are interested. John and Mary were married 25 May 1835. Send me your home email address and I can send you attachments.
Which of John and Mary's Children are you decended from?
Thank you so much for writing.
