RE: Oops! Alford Moore in Hollywood Cemetery
Not a problem! If you will check out this link:

It should list all individuals interred in Hollywood with the last name Moore, and I still don't find him. I'm not sure if there is just an oversight or error, but I am not seeing anyone close to matching that description.

RE: Eliza A Moore in Mt Zion Cemetery
No, I can't read the dates or the sentiment. I didn't have anything with me to do a rub and the stone was very weathered. I'm not sure if a rubbing will work. I'll try to get back up that way soon to get a rubbing. I've got to make a kit to take with me so I can get better pictures. So often I need a brush to clean a stone or foil to make a rubbing and I'm never prepared. Sorry.

Mt. Zion Cemetery
There are four or five Mt. Zion cemeteries in Chester and McNairy County. The cemetery where N. B. Hardeman's mother, Nancy Jane Smith Hardeman, is buried is in McNairy County but very near to the Chester County line. To get to the cemetery, I would go to Enville, TN and take the Stanford & Hardin Graveyard Road and go about three miles. To be safe, just stop in Enville and ask directions.

No, William (memorial 98035915) isn't related to me as far as I know ~ I was just passing on information to you that I'd come across and figured it might be of some value if added to his memorial.

RE: Confusing Mt Zion Cemeteries
Hello Mrs. Milford,

The Mount Zion Cemetery I went to was actually in McNairy County. I don't know where the Chester County line is, but it can't be very far away. It is just off Hardin Graveyard Rd.
If you look up Mount Zion Cemetery in Enville Tn click on the pointer near Enville. It has a road view of the cemetery where you are able to zoom in for a glimpse. It is a beautifully secluded and peaceful resting place.
Sorry but I didn't take a picture of the cemetery marker.
Hope this was helpful.

No, they are not all my direct relatives. I just add them when I find them. I will try to add your George to my list- If I can figure it out. Thanks for letting me know about him.

I have added Tom Morton's parents to his bio. If you have their Memorial numbers, I will be happy to link him to them.

I have posted the double tombstone pictures to the memorials for Sophronia Hurst and Elizabeth Hurst. Neither of the women have death dates on the stones. Maybe they are not buried there?

RE: Joseph W Moore & Joe Moore in Smith Cemetery
I see you found Celia's grave. Her death certificate is listed on Ancestry. Name shown on DC is Sealy Hurst Moore and she is listed as a widow. I've found that people sometimes list themselves as widowed when they actually are divorced or living separated but not legally divorced.

Celia is the cousin of both Joseph Moore and Martha Ann Hurst Moore. The three of them were first cousins. Their mutual grandparents were Elijah Hurst and Margaret Breeding Hurst.

Celia's parents were David Hurst, #18038824, and Elizabeth Carpenter Hurst, #80934750.

George W Little
Not related to George. There are seven Pinckley's who served in the 7th Tenn, and I am related to all of them in the cousin-generation removed category. That was what got me started in trying to get the 7th Tenn service record added to any memorial found in Find-A-Grave. I do not know if George has any decendents. FYI, there only a few burials at Florence marked with a name - most are in unmarked trenches. If you go to memorial #107859531 you can a see an overall view of the burial area and a information plaque.

RE: photo request
Thanks, I will check out the Facebook page. Wasn't aware of it!

RE: photo request
I emailed a lady whose name I have seen frequently on St see if she will be claiming yours. She already knows the cemetery, presumably.
I hope I hear from her. If not, I will claim your requests and work on them. Its cold and rainy today...I am anxious for sun so I feel like getting out with the camera!
I am working on entering memorials for Westlawn cemetery, which is a "black" cemetery historically. I think it is important to work on it because there is so little ancestry info out there to begin with for African Americans. So I am doing what I can! Many of the cemetery records only record the burial date so I am sure it makes it more difficult to find relatives without birthdates.
Have a great day.

RE: photo request
I went thru St Patricks and took photos of all headstones, so any graves without photos don't have a headstone.
I would be glad to take photos of the plots anyhow.
I have not worked the St. Johns cemetery but nothing says I can't! It's just a matter of finding the person who has the maps and lists.

RE: photo request
I haven't seen any requests come through from you about the new plots I sent a pic of.

Springer gravestones
Hello Shirley,

You are most welcome. I have added the uncropped photo and also added the photos to Lolo and Velma's memorials. It was my pleasure. They are only a few graves away from my grandparents so I knew right where to find them. I hope the pics help you if you ever get a chance to visit.

RE: St Patricks Plot Map
I just found on a "family tree' which shows John's death as March 31, 1921 in Osawatomie. It shows St Patricks as the place of burial so the "owner" of the tree thinks it is the same person.

I went through the 1920 census for Osawatomie State Hospital and found a "John J Tracey", widower, whose age was 57. I will send the census page to your email.

And I found a family tree with a photo of Frank Tracy's gravestone. Will send that as well.

RE: St Patricks Plot Map
I'm glad to help.
It is a small cemetery so its no problem and the office staff are very nice.

RE: St Patricks Plot Map
I added the photos. Looking at my map of the cemetery, it looks like the plots next to the Galvins are family also, their kids I think. I will have to get back out to the cemetery and take close-up photos of their map of those plots for you.
