I just sent in a request for a photo for memorial 74514035. Then I went to her husband's page (153344079) and found one. Would you please post it on his wife's page as well? Thank you for your work for Find A Grave.

Sir, I am trying to find this cemetery, I know it is in Vinton Co. Ohio but that is all the info. I can get, I have been told it may be near to Zaleski Ohio which I could understand since some of the Ansel and Potter family are in the Oak Grove Cemetery there at Zaleski. David Ansel is my Great-great Grandfather on my paternal side. Thank you for any assistance you can give me

Rachel Sothard
Hello Jim,

Thank you for your efforts! I found the picture here that you took a Rachel Sothard's marker. That was a surprise to me on ohio at this time. Would you be able to tell if there were any other Sothard's there, and or if you took any other pictures to the markers to the left and or right? Just looking for any additional context.

All the best,

Ted Sothard

Jim, you added a photo of this cemetery to my 3x great-grandmother's grave, Matilda Jane Myers who is buried in Phillips Cemetery in Sugar Grove. I have seen her grave & she is in Philips. Could you tell me why, or is it an error? Thank you for any info you may have.

Selvidge Family
James C. Selvidge, wife Garnet Owen and son Thomas J. all died in Los Angeles, Calif, yet are buried in the Glen Haven Memorial Park in Winter Park, FL. Perhaps they are buried in the Glen Haven Memorial Park in Sylmar, LA Co, Calif.

I believe this is the same person with the wrong spelling on his marker. Please check it out and if you agree please add your picture to memorial # 46271469.

Sorry...disregard. I couldn't find it on the app so I thought it was gone. Good news, it's still there!

Thomas Mulroney
he was my gggrandfather, born in galway, ireland, came to the united states aboard the ship centurion july 11 1848 and traveled to oswego ny. he was joined by mary jane mccabe who arrived on board the same ship (centurion) 22 jan of 1839. they were married on may 30 1849 in oswego at the catholic church. they traveled to chillicothe, settled in to raise a family of 5. he enlisted for the union, FEDERAL army (not an ohio unit) in july of 1861 and served his three year enlistment. two weeks after his discharge in july 1864 he enlisted as a substitute in the FEDERAL cavalry (Co H) and took a minie ball through the hip which exited his groin at third winchester (called by the south opequon creek) on sept 19, 1864 and was discharged as unfit for further duty and died in chillicothe in 1870 of that wound which never healed. I have his service record from the national archives. He was not colored troops, being irish and was one of some few to serve and re-enlist. he was eligible for a pension, $2.00 a month, and of course a military headstone.

Hello Jim,

Thanks for catching the cemetery issue. I think I have all of them in the correct Mt Pleasant in Kingston now. As for WOP's real burial place I had already noted in the Bio that that was not his actual burial site. There is also another memorial for his "burial" site with all the others in Europe. I had already linked all three by connecting each one to his parents... findagrave seems to think they are brothers instead of the same person with three memorial spots... I have also updated the death place to match the official memorial from Arlington National, of which I have no control over. If it is still incorrect have the person fix it for the main one and I will reflect it.

Don Harper
Harper clan

I just found your memorial for James Charles Harper in Bethel Cemetery. Wondering if there are other Harpers in there that you have not yet memorialized. Several of my somewhat distant cousins, including Robert Harper, 1819-1900, father of James Charles, and his two wives, Mary Gleasen/Glissen, 1817-1862 and Marinda Byron, 1835-1903 are supposed to be there.
