Thank you much for the message about my cousin Steve trying to get a hold of me. He did get a hold of me and appreciate you informing me about it.

Yes Caroline I am aware the pictures didn't load properly. I am home visiting in the U.P. where service is well, let's just say not what I am used to. I am accustomed to high speed vs leisurely U.P. Internet. I will fix them as well as add more information when I return home to the land of high speed internet. But thank you for your contribution to site.

Lorrie
RE: Maria Carlson
Hi, it's sort of complicated. Since Maria was born in Sweden, her last name there would have been her father's first name of Peter with "dotter" added to the end of Peter. [His name was Peter Pearson.] I have many Swedish ancestors that I have copies of their birth certificates and that was the custom. However, after many came to America, the last name was "assumed" to be that of the father's last name. So, I think that if you would add PEARSON as her maiden name, that would probably avoid a lot of confusion. since Her brother went by Pearson instead of Petersson after arrving in the USA, I think Pearson should be shown her maiden name also.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for fulfilling my photo request for Carl. I do appreciate your help very much. And thank you for posting the photos so they can be viewed in the larger format, too, as that can make a lot of difference at times.

Hi Caroline,
I am not related to George and Selma Reckow Toepfer. I will transfer their memorial pages and Selma's parents' pages to you since you are a direct descendent and, like you, I believe family should take care of family.

Thank you!!!
Thank you, Caroline, for taking the time and effort to take a photo of my great, great grandfather's resting place and stone - this means so much to me to finally see where he rests. I so appreciate your kindness! A big hug goes out to you!

Warmly,

RE: Fred Bruce
Caroline,

Wow! :-)

Well, I don't think this Fred Bruce is my GG Uncle. My uncle was born here in Brown County, Ohio, then his family moved across the Ohio River to Kentucky. I thought maybe in his later life he had moved to Michigan to farm.

His parents were Christian and Catherine Bruce/Bruist (spelling varies). Not sure if he ever married??

Thanks so much for helpfulness! Appreciate your efforts!
:-)
Michael
