Hi,
I believe you posted to Mount Calvary cemetery in Puerto de Luna, Guadalupe, NM. There are five listings for this cemetery:
Calvoria Cemetery
El Calvario Cemetery
El Calvadio Cemetery
Mounte Calvario Cemetery
Mount Calvary.

I believe El Calvario Cemetery is the most accurate. Please delete your other posting and add it to that cemetery, if possible. Thanks!

Magruder/McGregor
Jill

On 12 Feb. 1821, John Smith Magruder (1767-1825)
legally changed the names of his children to
McGregor. Who are we to question the man?
Many of his descendants are online. John Smith Magruder was the son of Nathaniel who was the son of John Magruder 1694-1750)and Susanna Smith.

I personally did not create the cemetery but did contribute information since I personally dug up some of the gravestones and took the photos.

The original posting for the name of the cemetery came from a book written by the Prince George's Co. Genealogial Society. The name has been used extensively online. Maryland HABS has information about the land and the original Dunblane home.

It is on fenced private property with surveillance.

Hope this helps.
Margaret

RE: Manuelita Espinosa
Manuelita Espinosa is the great great Grandmother of my Son via his Mom and her Father. Her maiden name is Bernal. That's what I've been able to figure out so far anyway. Via other trees on ancestry, her parents are Felipe Espinosa y Bernal (1836-) and Candelaria Espinosa deHerrera (1839-) and that's about as far as I've gotten.

You are very welcome for the photos. It was our pleasure. I also noticed that there were a few "Getman"s near Royal and Elsie. I'm not sure if they are of interest to you, but I took photos of those stones as well and added profiles to find-a-grave.

Hi Jill,

I never met her but Inez was my grandmother. I have done a little research on her side of the family and did find an obituary for her online that may offer some leads. It mentions her sister, Jessie, as one of her survivors. Here is the site:

Kezia Tinkler, Gypsum, Kansas
Hi, You published a picture of Kezia Tinkler, who died in 1901, age 16, in Gypsum, Kansas. I'm not sure if you got that pic. from her headstone or if you have any other info. about her. She was my grandmother's sister, and I am amazed how much she looked like me! I wonder if you know her cause of death or anything else. Thanks! jillgat@gmail.com

Sorry, I forgot to mention also that at the time the Magruder's owned Anchovie Hills, that particular area was known as Baden, not Brandywine so Alexander died in Baden.

Thanks,
Margaret

Thank you!!!
I have recently started work on my son-in-law's tree, and your work provided an answer which had eluded other researchers with far more experience than I have.

His great-great grandfather* was born in KS, as was his great-great grandmother. She died in AZ, and I *never* would have thought to look in NM for his death/burial!!! The gravestone alone did not have enough information to verify it was him, but looking at the county genealogical society's listing of the cemetery's interments yielded information that his wife, my son-in-law's great-great grandmother, was also buried there; her birth and death dates I already knew. His death was too early for SSDI to be of any help. You provided the link for me to find them.

Thank you so much!

Trish B

THANK YOU JILL!
Thank you so much for taking the photos of my uncle Ellsworth and aunt Virginia's grave markers! So very appreciated.

Did you know that the Vista Memory Gardens cemetery was started from land they granted to the town of Truth Or Consequences, NM? It's true!

Thank you again, Patrick (White Light)
