RE: Cowgill / Timmons
As far as I know , Joel did marry sisters, Huldah Timmons Oct 1858,(possibly in Tippecanoe County, Indiana) Huldah died Oct 1863. He married Martha Jane Timmons June 1864 (possibly Warren County, INdiana) I am not sure about the Watkins query?
Joel may have been married first to one Elizabeth Talbert about 1849 with 3 children being born Lavinia Eva born 1854; Corydon and Morford.
Davis cemetery reading in the late 1970s indicates Mortford Cowgill son of J.& E. died 4/23/1851..6d; and Corydon A. son of J. & E. died 9/01/1850 8m 21d. There is a listing for Georgie Cowgill son of J. & M.J. died 09/03'1875...7m22d.
Hope this helps.

RE: Nora Nelson
Okay, I received a reply from the cemetery. The family is in Garden (or Block) A, Section 103. Carrie is in Lot 1, Albert is in Lot 2, and Norra is in Lot 3. The only one who has a headstone is Carrie (per the cemetery worker who went out to look at the lots). Albert's memorial is #66514840. Could you please remove the photo you took? It is for the other Albert Nelson buried at Forest Lawn.

Thanks for all your help.

RE: Nora Nelson
I called the cemetery again and gave them the information. I talked to a different person this time. She is supposed to look into it and call me back regarding Albert and Norra Nelson. I'll let you know what I find out.

Thanks so much for your time.

RE: Nora Nelson
Carrie Mae Nelson was Norra's mother. So they are buried in the same plot?

Thanks for trying to get a photo!

Albert Nelson
No, that doesn't look like the correct stone for my Albert. I got the plot location from a person at the cemetery. I will have to e-mail them and see if there has been a mix up in the plot location.

RE: Cowgill
I am not a direct descendant of Mary Eleanor (Bailey) Timmons, she was a dau/ of William B. Bailey, I am a direct descendant of William's brother Horatio Bailey.
I was named for my grandmother on my mother's side of the family.

My email address is I have more on the Bailey and Timmons lines.

RE: Cowgill
James Bailey was my grandfather Perry's brother and James and his wife and children left IN for Montana 1908, where he became a logger at Trego and Whitefist. Two of his sons became loggers also. they left Montana sometime between 1930-1940. Davis Cemetery is just west of Green Hill.

Picture of Wm W Griffin headstone.
Thank You so much! I had one from back in 94 when we visited, which was lost.
Living here in AL, I know I won't get back there for a long while, and this means I will not lose it again. Thank you again and again.

Never mind I found the memorial that had already been created under the correct name, and there is a photo attached. Again, thank you for your efforts and I'm so sorry about my mistake. Patty

Ruth Dorman
Thank you so much for looking for my Ruth Dorman, however, I was wrong in that I completely forgot she remarried after Roy Dorman died and her last name when she died was Converse not Dorman. Would you mind trying to find her using the last name of converse the obit I have from the paper says she is buried there. I'm so sorry I forgot about the name when I built the memorial. I truly appreciate your efforts. Patty

John I just pulled the photo request for Gladys Stroud Moore as there seems to be some confusion where she is laid to rest. If I find out she is in the Cemetery where you took the picture of my brother's headstone, I'll resubmit the request. Thanks again!

Sir, I want to thank you for putting the picture of Gary's headstone on Find A Grave! I have two other family members at that cemetery and I should have requested pictures of their site also. Will request those soon but wanted to thank you in behalf of the Muse family.
