Edwards family
Thank you very much for all your work trying to find the Edwards family. I know how much work goes into walking cemeteries. Thank you again.

Mary Arvidson
St Joseph Cemetery-May Gravesites
Hi Lulu-I checked for Evelyn May in the cemetery database and she does not have any record listed in any Chicago Archdiocese cemetery. I also checked Robert's gravesite to see if she may have been buried near him but there is a Virginia N. May (1915-1971) who I assume is Robert's second wife buried next to him. Note that Evelyn not being listed in the database does not mean she is not there but only that she was not recorded. If you've got some evidence that she was buried at St Josephs you might want to give the cemetery office a call to have them check their records manually especially if you can identify an interment date...Mary
P.S. I did take a picture of Virginia's headstone so if you create a memorial page for her let me know and I'll post it.

Virginia Jane Appleby memorial
Thanks so much for the obituary for Jane Appleby! What a great find, especially since obituaries for women that far back are hard to find.

RE: Thank you so much!
You are very welcome. I'm sorry you had to request it as I've had the photo since I created the memorial in July. Am behind in getting everything added.
Happy hunting!

Yerbey family cemetery
I was wondering about the Yerbey Cemetery and afraid of future development of that land the cemetery is located on. Have you been there lately? Is there any fear of losing this cemetery? Just wondering. George Davis (descendent of William Yerbey and Sarah Harriett Ware)

You had a photo request in for her. I'm sorry to say that she is in an unmarked grave. She is buried in a Block of the cemetery where there are hundreds of unmarked graves and there really is no way to even hazard a guess as to where her grave is located within the Block. There are not enough stones to even make a determination of who she is next to. I did post an overall photo for you rather than the request languish forever. Sorry there wasn't a better result but at least you know where she is buried.

Juancito Holland
Live Oak Memorial Park
To get your request for photo's at Live Oak Memorial Park in Monrovia, California it would help if you could call the cemetery and obtain the grave location and add that information to your request, or message me with the location.

They are very busy but they do respond to requests but you might have to leave them your email or telephone number so that they can contact you with the grave location at a time to suit their work schedule.

Their number is (626) 359-5311

Kind regards

John DiAngelo

Pearce at Spring Grove
I posted the photos you requested for Charles and Judith Pearce but noticed her birthdate on Find A Grave didn't match the headstone. I didn't send an edit, I will leave it to you to decide what is correct. There are also several other Pearces in the same plot, I will post photos for them as well.

RE: Thank you so much!

It was my pleasure. I want you to know that I almost didn't find the Holmes, as their headstone were hidden under a tree. I just happen to catch a glimpse of something under the tree and when I went back to look..... there they were!

Enjoy the photos.

All my best to you

Kurt Riegel
Thomas Holmes Evergreen Cemetery, Norwich, NY (Chenango County)

Thomas Holmes was born about 1829 in New York state the possible son of John and Nancy (Richmond) Holmes and grandson of Thomas and Lucy (Durand) Richmond. His postulated parentage is based on the circumstantial evidence of his grave being located next to that for the family of Thomas and Lucy Richmond who had a daughter named Nancy (B. 1801) who married John Holmes. He was possibly named after his grandfather, Thomas Richmond. Thomas Holmes died 2 January 1851 at the age of 22 years.

Abraham Holmes
Dear Lulu,
I was pleased to see your note this morning on findagrave. Deborah Holmes Sage was Abraham's sister and my third great grandmother who lived at New Berlin. I've been working on the Holmes line for decades and work with other descendants of Jedediah and Hannah Brown Holmes all over the county. If you are descended from them and would care to join us, you may contact me at

William Burrell
I have taken a picture of the stone for William Burrell at Glenwood Cemetery. I posted it but was not sure if this is the same person as some information is different. If you would please check to see if it is the same, and make the corrections on dates and add his middle initial, or let me know if not and I will remove it. Thanks.
