John Raymond Good
I added the birthdate for John Raymond Good in Saint Patricks Cemetery in Neola, Iowa. I did some searching on Ancestry, and was able to add some links to Family members.

Oh! Something just clicked in......

You said she DIED in 1795?? Not around here! Harrison County was not settled by whites until about 1840. Missouri did not become a state until 1821.

The OLDEST stones I've found around here were in the early 1850s.

So where do we go from here?

WOW! That's a tough one! If you were taking blacktops from Eagleville to New Hampton, you went from north end of Harrison County to the southwest corner, and there's SEVERAL small cemeteries between the two.

Nothing jumps out at me at the moment, but I'm only on my first cup of coffee. Let me see what I can come up with, and I'll let you know if we get lucky.

See ya!!

RE: john chipps
Kathy:
I just keep getting more confused! Too many John Chipps with birth dates too close to call.
The info I have comes from research done in the family. I have 3 letters, dated in the 1930s from a relative in Indiana who had corresponded with Chipps' all over and also was in the DAR and combined her documentation and wrote the following (papers she received from Mr. Kishpaugh who is a descendant of John Chips m. Julia McDougall) in about 1936: will of Joseph K. Chips and release of wife Elizabeth to son John Chips. My note: this John is b. 1815 d. 1896 in New Jersey m. Julia McDougall). She then referenced a document of release of Sarah Chips Ward to her dower in the estate of her first husband John Chips Jr. to her son Joseph K. Chips. In 1804 children of John and Sarah had deeded them 80 a land and then in 1827 John Chips Jr. died and his widow Sarah married DAniel Ward. The dower was also signed by her son William Chips. Sarah Ward was living in Wayne County NY in 1827.
So this is what I believe to be somewhat correct (even though you and others have John m. Julia McDougall as son of John): John Chips 1750-1816 ( registered officer in Rev. War), New Jersey m. Sarah (mnu.) Administrator of John's estate is Joseph K. Chips so I assume he is a son. Joseph (1791-1880) has brothers William(1879) and Morris. Joseph m. Elizabeth Woodruff in New JErsey and his will exists. They had Joseph Kelsey, William and Morris (others unknown). Joseph Kelsey has 4 children Samuel Woodruff 1813-1897, John 1815-1896, Cynthia Osborne, Harriet Wolfe. And so on. Samuel was my 2nd great grandfather. I know this is confusing.

RE: john chipps
Cathy: thank you so much for your prompt response. I know what you mean about so many John Chipps! What a popular name.
I have been looking through some family documents and getting some more information. When I am convinced I have researched all I can I will share with you what I have. I am also most interested to find what you have.
You mention Joseph Kelsey and he is the father of John and my great grandfather Samuel. You mention he is the son of Morris. I do not have that information. I found a will index that lists his parents as John and Sally Chips.

I now have documentation from census and marriage to provide you with my information for John Chips. You have provided the info on him for findagrave.com.
His New Jersey marriage license states his father is Joseph K. Chips and 1860 census has Elizabeth Chipps living with him. His death record indicates both parents.
You have him as being son of John Chipps, Sr., and grandson of Morris Chipps. I do not believe that is correct. Could you tell me where you got the information you used here?

thanks.

Added the obit and other information. Did he die in Gentry County? If so, I will add that.

You might want to look at the children's list again now that some have been linked. Might be some conflict and/or duplicated information you might want to edit.

Great Information!

I did linking as you suggested. Not all of it was successful, so I transferred management to you. Some of the numbers came back with error messages, and some of the information I did not understand well enough to proceed with....

It is clear you have a much better knowledge of these families. None is a link to me.

I am sorry I could not fulfil it all.

Hi Cathy.
I am so happy to have just happened to photograph the headstone of someone who has been loved and searched for for so many years - and then be found. I searched for my 2nd great grandmother for over 30 years before finding her and my wife searched for her grandfather for more than 30 years before finding him. I know the feeling of joy of bringing the family together. Eliza's headstone is broken, but otherwise in good shape. You could probably have it repaired by contacting the cemetery and asking them for a reference. Live Oak Memorial Park is a beautiful cemetery. She is in the older area of the park.

Lewis French
I notice you have a memorial for a Lewis and Nancy French in Fairview Cemetery and the reference with the flowers saying they are your great grandparents. I have a question about their son Elias and his wife Mary. Can you tell me if they are buried in the same cemetery and Lewis and Nancy? Are you connected through this lind or another of their children? I have a connection through Elias's son in law Melvin VanMeter and was curious about which of lewis and NAncy's children you are connected through.
