Well, all I can say is that ancestry family trees are written by people who think they know something. I like to have facts. What you now have to prove dates and places is his little stone. If you look very close it says he was born Oct 9 1832 as does the death certificate. The date of death on the large stone 1915 and I would bet it has a full date on the small stone under the dirt. Place of burial is mentioned and all the information was provided by his son
James Mann who is on the death certificate. I think he son knew better than any of us. Just the facts ma’am.

I have had the same problem with Ancestry family trees for my great-great-grandmother. Catherine Lasher 1832 1897. In the 1920’s someone wrote her name was Catherine (Crissman) Lasher and it has taken me years to get it removed from Ancestry.

No I’m not a Mann descendent, Bessie’s first husband Lloyd Lasher was my grandfather’s cousin but to tell the whole Lasher story I have to include all in-laws other spouses and their parents just to keep everyone straight. I will be looking up obits this weekend and I intend to find one for Samuel Mann, I will let you know what I find. If you have an obit in Armstrong co., pa you need and have a complete date just let me know and I will have a look.

I would give Gary a call on Monday and he can double check for you. I have over 9,000 pictures of stones at St. clair and I am sure I missed some people.

I have the plot records and I think he said she was the only McClelland in that plot with the Morrisons but please check.

Glad I could help.

I went to the cemetery and found the stone it is in section S about 3 rows from the road or patch. You will See a rectangler stone with Eisaman walk pass that straight 3 rows then look for Morrison Mary J. 1831 1910 Lavinia McClelland is next to her.

If you want me to transfer Lavinia to you let me know.

Sorry I did not have a map of the cemetery and just starting taking picture. So I am not sure where she is in the cemetery.

I do know the office has copies of my pictures. did they not have her on record? The picture was taken 3 years ago.
